![](/files/-Mecpkvo2JGRnuerr1ow)

Zenlink is an underlying cross-chain DEX protocol based on Polkadot, and is committed to become the DEX composable hub of Polkadot. By accessing the ultimate, open and universal cross-chain DEX protocol based on Substrate, [Zenlink DEX Protocol](/zenlink-dex-protocol/architecture) enables all parachains to build DEX and achieve liquidity sharing in one click. Zenlink DEX Protocol includes [Module](/zenlink-dex-protocol/untitled), [WASM](/zenlink-dex-protocol/wasm), and [EVM](/zenlink-dex-protocol/evm) implementations, which are flexible and adaptable, allowing for customizable compositions and interoperability with different DeFi modules.

In addition, the Zenlink DEX Aggregator connects all DEX DApps on Polkadot and aggregates liquidity, providing a low slippage trading experience for users. Zenlink DEX Composable Hub enables developers to access the Zenlink DEX Module to build their own unique DEXs, forming a DEX composable hub for the Polkadot ecosystem. Currently, Zenlink has received two rounds of [Web3 Foundation Grants](/ecosystem/web3-foundation-grants-program) and investments from several well-known institutions.

In general, Zenlink DEX Network consists of the following parts:

## Zenlink DEX Protocol

The top-level unified general DEX protocol that includes the following three implementations:

### Module

A Module on Substrate Runtime Module Library (SRML) layer according to the Zenlink Protocol standard. Parachains can integrate with it quickly, so that be able get the DEX function, even share the liquidity with other DEX on other parachains.

### EVM Contract

It is a contractual deployment mode adopted in order to be compatible with the operation of the Ethereum EVM, and it is also a transition scheme adopted in the initial stage of the Polkadot network. The Zenlink DEX EVM version implements all the functions of the protocol layer, complements the perfect testing process, and can also be deployed to the parachain of EVM contracts at the first time, which greatly expands the applicability of the platform.

### WASM Contract

It is the original contract implementation of Polkadot, and it is also the main contract deployment mode of Polkadot network in the future. The Zenlink DEX WASM version has the ability to deploy to WASM contract platform in the first place, and the applicability of the platform has been greatly improved.

## Why no public sales?

[Zenlink received a $1.1M angel investment led by Hashkey in September 2020](https://medium.com/zenlinkpro/polkadot-cross-chain-dex-zenlink-secured-1-1-936293d4c03a) and [completed Series A funding in September 2021](https://medium.com/zenlinkpro/zenlink-completes-series-a-funding-led-by-alameda-research-965652a04e82).

The team has no plans to raise funds other than those needed to support the development of the project, so a public sale is not contemplated and will distribute $ZLK tokens in a more equitable manner, such as liquidity mining.

## How to get ZLK?

There are several ways to get $ZLK:&#x20;

* Participate in the giveaway events launched by Zenlink and its partners. Zenlink has already launched several giveaway events till now, and rewards for the giveaways held prior to the launch of Zenlink have all been distributed. There will be more events in the future, stay tuned!
* ~~Locking in DOT/KSM through Zenlink SlotVault to support Zenlink's partner bid slots will complete a portion of the ZLK distribution in that session. The benefit to users is the ability to receive both token distributions from parachain projects bidding for slots and ZLK airdrops.~~ **(Ended)**
* Participate in ZLK liquidity mining, trading mining **(Paused)**, and invite to earn **(Paused)**. 50% of ZLK tokens will be distributed to the community, which will be done through liquidity mining, trading mining, etc.
* ~~Join the Zenlink DAO Governance Organization.~~ [~~ZenlinkDAO bootstrapping governance~~](https://medium.com/zenlinkpro/join-zenlinkdao-as-an-initial-governance-member-and-explore-dao-governance-model-with-zenlink-166651963694) ~~has been launched and ZenlinkDAO governance board members can make suggestions on Zenlink's development plans and participate in ZLK liquidity mining in the early stages.~~ **(Ended)**

# Architecture

Learn about the architecture of Zenlink DEX Protocol.

Parachains on Polkadot are essentially a collection of completely independent and freely programmable Runtime Modules. Compared with Ethereum's smart contract, parachains are more completely isolated, and the running calculations between parachains can be independently parallelized. This allows Polkadot's comprehensive performance to increase by several levels, but it will also make the interaction between parachains more complicated.

The team led by Gavin is vigorously developing the communication protocol XCMP on the parachains, but even if the development of the XCMP protocol is completed, we still need to develop various application-related general protocols on the XCMP protocol. Zenlink DEX Protocol is to implement a protocol for parachains to interoperate and share the liquidity pool.

The cross-chain protocol on Polkadot can be compared to the traditional TCP/IP protocol. The XCMP protocol is similar to the data link layer on TCP/IP, which solves the transmission function of the indiscriminate perception protocol between each chain (route).

Zenlink DEX Protocol is similar to the application layer on TCP/IP. As long as each parachain implements Zenlink DEX Protocol, it can share all the liquidity pool of parachains on Polkadot.

![](/files/-Med1QdWP-c2iDiDX8xR)

Zenlink DEX functionalities can be imported into parachains in the following three ways.

1. Integrated with parachains as a substrate module.
2. Deployed to the Wasm Contract module on parachains.
3. Deployed to the EVM Contract module on parachains.

![](/files/-Med2iZeJDjfkcjGCKrG)

Zenlink has specifically implemented the above three ways to facilitate the parachains one-click integration of Zenlink DEX Protocol.

# Interface

The ZenLink DEX Protocol defines several modules including Assets, Dex. Here is the basic function description, using the Module version written in Rust as an example.

## Module Assets

Assets is the fundamental module of ZenLink Dex Protocol. Assets looks like ERC20. Users can manage liquidity and token with it.

### **Issue**

Issue a new ERC20 token

```
fn issue(origin, #[compact] total: T::TokenBalance, asset_info: AssetInfo)
```

Parameters:

* \`total\`: initial total supply.
* \`asset\_info\`: the asset info contains \`name\`, \`symbol\`, \`decimals\`.&#x20;

### **Transfer**

Transfer token from owner to receiver.

```
fn transfer(origin, #[compact] id: T::AssetId, receiver: <T::Lookup as
StaticLookup>::Source, #[compact] amount: T::TokenBalance)
```

Parameters:

* \`target\`: the receiver of the asset.
* \`amount\`: the amount of the asset to transfer.&#x20;

### **Approve**

Set `amount` as the allowance of `spender` over the caller’s tokens with token `id`. Returns a boolean value indicating whether the operation succeeded.

```
fn approve(origin, #[compact] id: T::AssetId, spender: <T::Lookup as
StaticLookup>::Source,  #[compact] amount: T::TokenBalance)
```

Parameters:

* \`spender\`: the spender account.
* \`amount\`: the amount of allowance.&#x20;

### **Transfer From**

Moves amount tokens from sender to recipient using the allowance mechanism. the amount is then deducted from the caller’s allowance. Returns a boolean value indicating whether the operation succeeded.

```
fn transfer_from(origin, #[compact] id: T::AssetId, from: <T::Lookup as StaticLookup>::Source, target: <T::Lookup as StaticLookup>::Source, # [compact] amount: T::TokenBalance)
```

Parameters:

* \`id\`: the asset id.
* \`from\`: the source of the asset to be transferred.
* \`target\`: the receiver of the asset to be transferred.&#x20;
* \`amount\`: the amount of asset to be transferred.&#x20;

# Module

Due to the benefit of Polkadot's advanced architecture, parachains can achieve features with different tech stacks, even their own consensus. Implementing or importing a pallet is the most common way to achieve a feature.

Zenlink implements the Module version of Zenlink DEX Protocol which enables parachains to access DEX capabilities and share liquidity with other parachains quickly.

![](/files/-Mf1mZQlX9NZdSTcDrud)

Zenlink DEX Module mainly consists of two parts:&#x20;

* Assets, namely Zenlink Assets.
* Asset Operations, namely Zenlink Actions.

Through the UAI(Unified Asset Identifier) and MultiAssetsHandler interfaces, Zenlink can perform swap and transfer any asset on parachains by XCM.

# WASM

Zenlink aims to help parachains in the ecosystem by offering them a simple way to implement dex functionalities. In order to create a variety of different ways for teams to integrate dex functionalities into parachains, we created technical solutions for anyone building a complex decentralized exchange using Substrate technology.

Writing WASM smart contracts with an ink! pallet is an effective way to deploy features. The benefit of this method is that people compile and deploy the smart contract to the parachain ink! module, rather than modify the source code of the parachain.

The WASM smart contract consists of two parts: Exchange and Factory.

The Exchange contract is the core of the ZenLink Dex Protocol. It implements the following interfaces:

* Initializing token trading pairs.
* Token swaps.
* Adding/extracting liquidity.
* Defining the liquidity constant function used throughout the protocol.

The Factory contract can be used to create exchange contracts for any ERC20 token that does not already have one. It also functions as a registry of ERC20 tokens that have been added to the system, and the exchange with which they are associated.

# EVM

The Ethereum Virtual Machine ([EVM](https://www.coindesk.com/open-heart-surgery-inside-ethereums-crucial-replacement-of-the-evm)) has the pole position among blockchain developers. The EVM is what enables Ethereum to run smart contracts. Many parachains implement and import EVM pallets. The purpose is quite simple: migrate Ethereum projects to Polkadot seamlessly.

Zenlink aims to help parachains in the ecosystem by offering them a simple way to implement dex functionalities. So, writing EVM smart contracts with an EVM pallet is an effective way to deploy features. The benefit of this method is that people compile and deploy the smart contract to the parachain's EVM pallet, rather than modify the source code of the parachain.

The EVM smart contract consists of two parts: Exchange and Factory.

The Exchange contract is the core of the ZenLink Dex Protocol. It implements the following interfaces:

* Initializing token trading pairs.
* Token swaps.
* Adding/extracting liquidity.
* Defining the liquidity constant function used throughout the protocol.

The Factory contract can be used to create exchange contracts for any ERC20 token that does not already have one. It also functions as a registry of ERC20 tokens that have been added to the system, and the exchange with which they are associated.

# Bridge (AnySwap/Bifrost for example)

## Bridging Ethereum/BSC assets to Moonriver Network (using AnySwap)

If you want to trade or participate in liquidity mining, trading mining activities on Zenlink DEX deployed on Moonriver, in addition to using native assets such as MOVR on Moonriver, you can also bridge more assets through AnySwap, such as Ethereum assets ETH, WBTC, USDC, USDT, DAI, etc., as well as BSC assets BNB, BUSD, etc. In this part, we will show you how to use AnySwap to bridge your EVM assets or BSC assets to the Moonriver network. The tutorial will take Ethereum assets bridging as an example.

{% hint style="info" %}
You will first need to install a MetaMask wallet and create an account with Ethereum assets in the account before doing the following operations. Click [here](/zenlink-dex-dapp/user-guide/install-metamask) to see the tutorial on installing MetaMask.
{% endhint %}

**Step 1:** Go to [Zenlink DEX DAPP](https://dex.zenlink.pro/)) and find "Bridge" in the lower right corner of the "Swap" or "Pool" interface, and then you can click "Bridge" to jump to AnySwap and proceed to the next step. (You can also visit [AnySwap](https://anyswap.exchange/#/bridge) directly in the PC browser)

![](/files/twDlWv6C62jAfhVsnk1w)

**Step 2:** Click the "Connect Wallet" button in the upper right corner of AnySwap to connect to the wallet account where you want to transfer assets and bridge to Moonriver.

![](/files/Imk34ry4T8wdyu2HkRWF)

**Step 3:** After the wallet is successfully connected, click "Bridge" on the right side and choose which chain you want to send your assets from. Here is the example of bridge USDC from Ethereum to Moonriver.

First, you need to switch the network to Ethereum Mainnet at MetaMask, and then you will see the following page in "Bridge":

![](/files/Jy7h8TKBXeA45y41kboJ)

Then, on this page, you can select the asset chain you want to transfer from and to and the specific asset.

![](/files/UiSBOvBl8NZdqx54kQAP)

## Bridging KSM, KAR, and kUSD assets to Bifrost (using Bifrost)

If you want to trade or participate in IYO activities on Zenlink DEX deployed on Bifrost, in addition to using native assets such as BNC on Bifrost, you can also bridge KSM, KAR, and kUSD on Kusama Relay Chain and Karura network to the Bifrost network through the bridge service provided by Bifrost. In this part, we will show you how to use Bifrost to bridge your KSM, KAR, and kUSD to the Bifrost network.

{% hint style="info" %}
You will first need to install a PolkadotJS wallet and create an account with KSM, KAR, or kUSD assets in the account before doing the following operations. You can click [here](/zenlink-dex-dapp/user-guide/install-polkadotjs) to see the tutorial on installing PolkadotJS.
{% endhint %}

**Step 1:** Visit Bifrost Wallet in a web browser and connect to your wallet. You will see a dashboard showing a list of all your assets on the Bifrost chain.

![](/files/hcbPhBBRbtvCIV0wSrI2)

**Step 2:** Find KSM in the asset list and click "Cross-chain" on the right.

![](/files/Cqxe19DALzxDdWlu5SkF)

**Step 3:** Select "Cross-in" or "Cross-out". Here, take "Cross-in" as an example.

![](/files/T8eF5q47uveuSTkSkWbZ)

**Step 4:** Click "Cross-in" and choose whether you want to transfer assets from Kusama Relay Chain or Karura network in the pop-up window. Here we will take Kusama Relay Chain as an example. Click "Confirm" below after confirmation (make sure you have KSM/KAR/kUSD asset balance in your Kusama/Karura account before doing this, depending on what assets you want to bridge).

![](/files/QsjUULiB4KEbCb6rkslz)

**Step 5:** Enter the amount of KSM you want to cross-chain from Kusama Relay Chain to Bifrost and click "Confirm". Then you need to sign and submit the transaction in the PolkadotJS extension and wait for the transaction to be completed. After the transaction is completed, you will see the KSM balance in the asset list.

![](/files/ExWKi6fuIo6JKTMgYWsD)

At this point, you have completed the whole process of cross-chain KSM from Kusama Relay Chain to Bifrost, and the process of cross-chain assets on other Karura networks to Bifrost is basically similar, you can try it according to this tutorial.

# Using Zenlink DEX

In order to optimize the Zenlink DEX architecture and user experience, we have launched a revamped new APP, while the old APP will be kept at the same time at the initial stage (the old APP is expected to be taken offline a few months after the new APP), the new APP and the old APP use separate web page (URL), please pay attention to distinguish them!&#x20;

**New APP:** <https://app.zenlink.pro/>

**Old APP:** <https://dex.zenlink.pro/>&#x20;

The UI\&UX of the new APP and the old APP is very different, so to make it easier for users to get started, please follow the different user guides:&#x20;

**New APP User Guide:** [New APP](/zenlink-dex-dapp/user-guide/using-zenlink-dex/new-app)

**Old APP User Guide:** [Old APP](/zenlink-dex-dapp/user-guide/using-zenlink-dex/old-app)

# New APP

New APP User Guide

{% hint style="info" %}

1. The new APP is available for all Zenlink integrated and supported chains: Astar, Moonbeam, Moonriver, Bifrost Polkadot, and Bifrost Kusama.&#x20;
2. The Mega Aggregator will support the Astar network first, and the other chains will be added later.
3. The new APP is now mobile-enabled, you can access and use it with your mobile wallet.
   {% endhint %}

The following tutorial uses the Astar network as an example:&#x20;

## Access Zenlink DEX DApp and Connect the Wallet

Access <https://app.zenlink.pro/>, then select Network and Connect Wallet in the upper right corner (The tutorial uses PC access as an example and follows a similar process in the mobile wallet app).

<figure><img src="/files/lrsWVHerG6unuC3Cza8d" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Swap

{% hint style="info" %}
Before swap, we strongly recommend checking if the aggregator function is turned on, check the introduction of the aggregator and how to confirm if it is turned on here: [Mega Aggregator](/zenlink-dex-dapp/aggregator)
{% endhint %}

**Step 1:** Select the pair or token you want to swap and enter the amount (please note the liquidity and price impact of the pair, otherwise, you may lose funds)

<figure><img src="/files/YNyd6NXX72IBvT8RykwP" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 2:** Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and confirm the slippage settings according to the liquidity of the pair and your usage habits (You can choose the default auto mode, or you can choose the custom mode to manually set a slippage that you are acceptable)

<figure><img src="/files/xj1hWiEBZQ1d7og7K3pa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 3:** Click the "Swap" button below and complete approval in the pop-up screen (usually required the first time the asset is used for a transaction). Once approved, click the "Swap" button in the pop-up window and sign the transaction in your wallet

<figure><img src="/files/UWPkBkOU2B4GXczjo9nX" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Cross-chain

By clicking Cross-chain next to Swap, you will be able to perform cross-chain transfer, which is similar to X-Transfer in the old APP, the difference is that the new APP will no longer provide a front-end operation page, instead, it will suggest the most suitable cross-chain operation platform for you, and you will be able to click and jump to that platform for operation.

Select the tokens you want to transfer across chains as well as the origin and destination chains, and the system will automatically recommend the best platform for you.

<figure><img src="/files/0OY2ZLlq49iKOVDwTyma" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Add/Remove Liquidity

Click "Explore Apps" in the top left corner of the app, then click "Pool" and you will be taken to the liquidity page.

<figure><img src="/files/XJVjUhKimXi1yLQo6oZj" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Add Liquidity

There are two ways to add your liquidity position.

#### First Way:&#x20;

**Step 1:** Click on "+ New Position" at the top of the Pool page

<figure><img src="/files/ATEKMWWHZI9kxCmQ2buP" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 3:** Once you enter the Withdraw/Remove Liquidity page, enter the percentage of liquidity you want to withdraw/remove, then click on "Approve-Remove Liquidity" to sign the transaction in the wallet

<figure><img src="/files/mcAJL2q7joEb4Z9nj7n4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Yield/Farming

Compared with the old APP, the new APP weakens the display of yield/farming, it does not have a separate page to display the farming list, you can refer to the APR parameter in the pool list to know which pools/pairs are farming and what their APR is.

{% hint style="info" %}
Tips: Click on the word Beat APR in the pool list to sort by APR
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/NyvVI6iL8YZkTSuiabdB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Here we still use the ASTR/USDC pair as an example to show how we should do farming and how to unstake liquidity (LP) and claim rewards.

### Farming LP

**Step 1:** Find ASTR/USDC (or any other pair you are interested in) in the pool list and click on it to enter the pool analysis screen

<figure><img src="/files/X4QHlZx68EqGZrG0GMs2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 2:** Click on the "Deposit" button at the bottom right and you will be taken to the Add Liquidity Position and Stake LP page (usually, when you add liquidity in the second way mentioned above, you can immediately follow it with a stake operation to earn rewards for participating in farming)

<figure><img src="/files/wvVqPmzgYcerRHshvo2n" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 3:** If you already have a liquidity position (LP) you can skip the step of adding liquidity, but of course, you can choose to continue adding more liquidity. Then enter the amount of LP shares you want to stake in the Stake Liquidity box below. After confirming that the amount is correct, click on "Approve-Stake Liquidity" to sign and submit the transaction in your wallet

<figure><img src="/files/j3ZjJHPDj4zOmEvw8QE8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 4:** After a successful stake, you will see your staked position on the right side and you will also be rewarded based on the APR of the farming pool.

<figure><img src="/files/cx90Cw4EB7WAwQ8nv1dJ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Claim Rewards

Once you have completed your LP stake, return to the pool analysis page and you will see your rewards in the "My Rewards" dashboard in the upper right.

{% hint style="info" %}
The [Faming Mechanism](/zenlink-dex-dapp/farming-mechanism) of the new APP is the same as before, so you may have a cooldown period before you can claim your rewards, follow the prompts on the dashboard to know when you can claim your rewards.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/lCABNFQIwrBft6gqDqLi" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Unstake LP

If you want to unstake your LP please follow the steps below (note: please claim your rewards before unstake to avoid forgetting them)

**Step 1:** Find your LP positions in stake on the Pool Page under the pool list or My Positions tab and go to the pool analysis page

<figure><img src="/files/aBtEOjTYDnICSyNivI3F" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 2:** Once on the pool analysis page, find the "My Positions" dashboard at the bottom right, and click on "Withdraw"

<figure><img src="/files/lHVIEpnaZ7TvEJ8awhXE" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 3:** Enter the amount of LP shares you want to unstake and click the "Unstake Liquidity" button to sign and submit the transaction in your wallet

<figure><img src="/files/shNZITw2scXXaCxmzfHa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

After the unstake lp transaction is completed, you can also remove your liquidity (LP) directly below.&#x20;

## Check transaction records

By clicking on your connected account in the top right corner of the DApp, you will see the balance of the native tokens in your connected chain (for example on Astar you will see the ASTR balance in your account), then by clicking on Transactions below you will be able to see your recent transaction records.

<figure><img src="/files/VHb6VwrrRA7vS1dotwSa" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/SIEL1tpmCv4VURSd6Xci" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This user guide basically covers most of the common operations, if you still have any questions please ask the admin for help in [Telegram](https://t.me/ZenlinkPro_EN) or [Discord](https://discord.com/invite/CBJy8Mmnjr).

# Old APP

The old APP is expected to be taken offline in a few months after the launch of the new APP.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can select the network you want to connect to under " Connect". On EVM-compatible chains such as Moonbeam, Moonriver and Astar, you will mainly use MetaMask, on Bifrost you will use PolkadotJS or other supported wallets such as Talisman, SubWallet, etc.
{% endhint %}

The following tutorial uses Moonriver as an example

### Access Zenlink DEX DApp and connect the wallet

**Step 1:** Use the PC browser that has installed the MetaMask wallet and completed the add Moonriver network to visit [Zenlink DEX DApp](https://dex.zenlink.pro).

**Step 2:** Click the "Connect" button in the upper left corner to connect to the MetaMask wallet

<figure><img src="/files/SIg8Nyj9CV8fXI5qs6CQ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 1:** Click the "Pool" button in the left sidebar to enter the liquidity operation interface, and then click "Add Liquidity" and select Standard AMM or Stable AMM

<figure><img src="/files/MbMYVuCGBr02Se1gRjr8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 2:** Select the Standard version or Single-Token, input the appropriate amount or quantity, click the "Supply" button, sign in the wallet, and submit the transaction

<figure><img src="/files/7B3n6pOVDYy6LOcnrpb1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 3:** Wait for the transaction to be completed, and check whether the added liquidity share shows normal, and then you can click the "Remove" button to remove liquidity.

<figure><img src="/files/YSrEs4XaGTQWQEatUhNq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 4:** Click the "Remove" button and go to the following page, drag the progress bar to enter the liquidity share you want to remove in the box, and then click the "Approve" and "Remove" buttons to complete the liquidity removal.

<figure><img src="/files/wseR7ALe5v7A3yHckXKZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Bootstrap

**Note:** Bootstrap is designed to help bootstrap the liquidity of a token pair, enabling liquidity pools to be created with greater capital efficiency during initial allocation and price discovery. It will separate the process of price changes, pair allocation, and liquidity construction, thus creating more reasonable exchange rates before trading, effectively avoiding pre-emptive trading, etc.

#### Contribute to the Bootstrap pool

**Step 1:** Go to [Zenlink DEX DApp](https://dex.zenlink.pro/) and click on "Bootstrap" to enter the interface, then find the Bootstrap pool you want to participate in and click on "+Bootstrap" in the upper right corner

<figure><img src="/files/GBUag6BVj6DGjtkHKnDP" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 2:** Select "Both" or "Single-Token" to add liquidity and enter the corresponding amount you want to supply to the Bootstrap pool (here is an example of the "Single-Token" model)

<figure><img src="/files/fKbIcK8KNJGu2KiZ50Wx" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 3:** Approve the token and click the "Supply" button (when Approve is complete, the "Supply" button will turn red) as below and sign in your wallet to submit the transaction

<figure><img src="/files/VpTNVAHJUuBIv0OX34OI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

At this point, you have completed your contribution to the Bootstrap pool, just wait for the Bootstrapping to end and claim your LP tokens and rewards (if the Bootstrapping fails, you will be able to claim all the tokens you have supplied)

#### Claim LP tokens and Bootstrap rewards

**Step 1:** Check "Ended" on the Bootstrap page to find the Bootstrap pool you have contributed, then click on the "Claim" button in the upper right corner

<figure><img src="/files/Yy9VQ7YOS88LozlMXBOI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Step 2:** Click the "Claim" button in the pop-up window again after confirming that the information is correct, then sign and submit the transaction in the wallet

<figure><img src="/files/V1WhwYJdOHCd8A4znW2A" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Wait a bit and you will be able to view your LP token balance and claimed rewards in your wallet after the transaction is completed.

Next, you can stake your LP tokens in the farming pool and start earning more rewards. For farming tutorials, you can learn [here](/zenlink-dex-dapp/user-guide/yield-farming).

P.s. after claiming LP tokens, you can also see your share of liquidity on the Pool page.

### View Transaction History

You can click on the icon at the top of the interface to view your transaction history

<figure><img src="/files/CKOeXBEzERnuPVnncFwP" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Yield/Farming

## Preface

IYO refers to Initial Yield Offering, which is designed to complete the initial issuance of tokens by launching yield campaigns and opening token transfers and circulation when relevant targets are met.

The Zenlink team designed the IYO issuance method with the following considerations in mind.

### “Fair Launch” <a href="#id-48ed" id="id-48ed"></a>

As you can see, Zenlink has released [Tokenomics](https://wiki.zenlink.pro/resources/tokenomics), and according to tokenomics, 50% of the total supply of ZLK tokens will be distributed to the community. However, Zenlink does not intend to make public sales, but rather distribute the majority of tokens through liquidity mining, trading mining, staking, and other activities that we collectively refer to as “yield”.

So the obvious result is that when ZLK goes live, the community users will only have a small percentage of the airdrops earned through participation in the event. Users will need to participate in yield campaigns to earn more tokens and achieve a relative balance between the community and the investment institutions when ZLK was listed.

IYO will be able to achieve this by allowing the community users to have enough time to earn more tokens by participating in yield campaigns. Although this is not a full fair launch, it still gets the team and the community as close as possible to what they want to achieve.

PS: there is a cliff period for all the investment institutions backing Zenlink, including the Zenlink team (Team share is not unlocked for the first 2 months of ZLK launch).

### **Price Protection** <a href="#c6c8" id="c6c8"></a>

As with many IPOs of large companies, good financial statements will support the price. IYO will help Zenlink to develop good financial metrics such as TVL, trading volume, etc.

This will enable ZLK to obtain a fairer market price for continued healthy growth and fewer people will take losses due to dramatic price fluctuations.

Overall, the Zenlink team is committed to building a valuable product and a fairer way to issue tokens, hoping that IYO will benefit more users in the community.

The Zenlink team will consider TVL (Total Locked Value), trading volume, Pool Locked Value, number of token holders, and other dimensions to design the specific metrics to enable ZLK transfers in IYO.

{% hint style="info" %}
IYO has officially ended on November 25, 2020 with the opening of the ZLK transfer. Users can still participate in Liquidity Mining, Trading Mining, Bootstrap and more, more details below.
{% endhint %}

## Trading Mining

### Description & Rules

In order to motivate more users to trade on Zenlink DEX, trading mining will continue as a long-term activity.

{% hint style="danger" %}
Zenlink encourages users to be rewarded with real trading, not trading bots!
{% endhint %}

**Trading Mining Incentive Scope:** All Zenlink DEX supported trading pairs are covered by the trade mining incentive. Only transactions with >200 USD equivalent will be counted towards the incentive for trading mining.

**Trading Mining Incentive Period:** One-monthly cycle

**Total Trading Mining Incentives:** The rewards are not fixed for each cycle and you can check the current cycle's rewards by checking "Total Rewards" at <https://dex.zenlink.pro/#/earn/trading>

**Reward Calculation:** The calculation formula for trading mining is as follows:

$$
tradingContributionValue=d×r×tradingVolume^{0.8}
$$

$$
reward=m×(\frac{tradingContributionValue}{totalTradingContributionValue})
$$

***d\_*** weight value of the ZLK holdings, see the table below for details

***r\_*** trading pair weight value, see the table below for details

***m\_*** indicates the total incentives in the period

***tradingVolume\_*** indicates the amount of a single trade, denominated in stablecoins

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: tradingVolume does not count all transactions. Every 5 minutes will be a statistical period, for each address, only the one with the highest transaction volume within 5 minutes will be counted, the rest of the transactions will not be counted. If there are multiple transactions with the same maximum value at the same address within 5 minutes, only one transaction will be counted. For example: If address A has 3 transactions in 5 minutes, 100 USDT, 1,000 USDT, and 10,000 USDT respectively, then its tradingVolume is 10,000 USDT and tradingContributionValue is 100 in these 5 minutes. Similarly, if address B has 2 transactions in 5 minutes, 5,000 USDT, and 50,000 USDT respectively, then its tradingVolume is 50,000 USDT and tradingContributionValue is 223.61 in these 5 minutes
{% endhint %}

![](/files/1QB2AgeK4ZDwV4X4C7TU)

![](/files/Po4dUsVYbvVaGsqLxVjE)

**Rewards Claim:** Rewards can be claimed once every month. Once a reward claim is available, users can manually claim the ZLK earned in the “Earn” section in Zenlink DEX.

### Tutorial

**Step 1:** Since all the trading pairs supported by Zenlink DEX are within the incentive plan of trading mining, you can choose any supported trading pair to Swap based on your existing assets.

![](/files/2fbxpqsG5XzOPMGRTFX3)

According to the rules, within 5 minutes, only the largest transaction volume at each address will be counted, and the rest of the transactions will not be included. If there are multiple transactions with the same maximum value at the same address within 5 minutes, only one transaction will be taken.

**Step 2:** View the estimated rewards for transaction mining and Claim awards in the "Earn" interface in Zenlink DEX.

![](/files/naNtynb6CSsjBjxNkwYO)

It is important to note that the transaction mining reward can be claimed every 2 weeks, so the "Claim" button will not be available before the time expires, you can refer to the countdown on the page to estimate the claiming time of the award.

## Liquidity Mining & Staking

### Description & Rules

Liquidity is a key part of a DEX, so we will introduce Liquidity Mining & Staking for earning ZLK tokens. To participate in Liquidity Mining, users need to add liquidity to a specified Pool to get LP Tokens and add LP Tokens to the Staking program. Of course, Zenlink also offers Single Token Staking, where users can place specified Tokens into the Staking program to earn ZLK rewards.&#x20;

Liquidity Mining & Staking has completed the upgrade from Zenlink Farming v1 to Zenlink Farming v2.&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}
***About Zenlink Farming v2***

Compared to Farming v1, Farming v2 has the following main changes and features:

* Farming v2 uses only one long-term contract to manage and run all farming pools, users no longer need to redeem staking tokens after a period of time and re-stake in new farming pools, once you have staked tokens you will continue to earn rewards until the rewards in the pool are fully released or you actively redeem your tokens.
* Stake tokens must be ERC20 tokens, which can be LP Tokens or single tokens (ZLK, WMOVR, etc.). For a given stake token, multiple farming pools can be created with one or more reward tokens and different “reward release rates” (the “reward release rate” is x rewards token per block).
* All farming pools will have a “minimum rewards claimable interval”, which is uniform for all, and each account can claim rewards only once in each interval, users can refer to the countdown displayed on the Zenlink DEX frontend to get the next claimable reward time.
* The release of rewards has been changed to release rewards by blocks, and the total amount of rewards contained in each block can be roughly calculated by the daily total of rewards displayed on the Zenlink DEX front-end page.
  {% endhint %}

**Liquidity Mining Incentive Scope:** You can check all active farming pools at <https://dex.zenlink.pro/#/earn/stake>

{% hint style="info" %}
All farming pools previously deployed with Zenlink Farming v1 have a cycle and ended farming pools can be checked by toggling "Ended" on this page.
{% endhint %}

**Liquidity Mining & Staking Incentive Period:** Long-term

**Total Liquidity Mining & Staking Incentives:** Each Farming pool has different rewards and you can check the details of each farming pool's rewards at <https://dex.zenlink.pro/#/earn/stake>

**Reward Calculation:** The actual rewards users can earn in each block are related to their pledged token shares, i.e.:

***actual rewards users can earn per block = (number of users staked tokens / total number of staked tokens) \* reward release rate***

**Rewards Claim:** Users can claim rewards once in each reward interval, please refer to the countdown displayed on the front end of Zenlink DEX for the specific time to claim rewards.

### Tutorial

**Step 1:** Click "Earn" on the left side of the screen to enter the Staking page, where you can see which trading pairs or Token Staking activities are in the active state.

![](/files/QIYVWbxCVjvPLvBZwgkM)

**Step 2:** Select the trading pair or Token you want to participate in liquidity mining and click "More" on the right. Then click "+ Add Liquidity" below, first add liquidity and get LP, you can see how to add liquidity here.

![](/files/oYsg6zMIIlmwh1xsR412)

**Step 3:** After successfully adding liquidity and obtaining LP, return to the interface and click "Stake" to enter the amount of LP you want to Stake, and sign your wallet to submit the transaction. Once the transaction is completed, you will successfully participate in the liquidity mining of the transaction pair and will be rewarded.

![](/files/dECiCW9iWLpCKhkpyUW7)

Note: For Zenlink DEX deployed on Moonriver, you can view your estimated rewards on the left side of this page, and you can claim rewards once in each reward interval, please refer to the countdown displayed on the front end of Zenlink DEX for the specific time to claim rewards.

![](/files/EXLokbnkO5sXYDLbVftg)

However, Zenlink DEX deployed on Bifrost will be different, as the rewards you have earned will be sent to your account when you trigger the Redeem or Stake or Claim function.

# Invite to Earn (Suspended)

Invite to Earn

## Description & Rules

Zenlink will have an "invite to earn" mechanism, invite your friends to trade in Zenlink DEX and you will be rewarded with ZLK tokens. Below are the specific rules of the invitation mechanism.

**Invite to Earn Incentive Period:** One-monthly cycle

**Invite to earn incentives:** 10% of transaction fee revenue (regular cycle)

**Reward calculation rules:** The calculation of the invitation reward will follow the following formula.

![](/files/Ipqad6nBunyg8NgGw0Vl)

***l***\_ indicates the total incentives in the period

***myScore***\_ Indicates invitation score. If an invitee enters DEX through the invitation link (or invitation code) and successfully completes a transaction greater than $10, both the inviter and the invitee will each earn 1 score (up to a maximum of 1000 points). Thereafter, the invitee must make a single transaction greater than $1000 to contribute score to the inviter, and each $1000 will earn 1 score, up to a maximum of 100 score in a day.

![](/files/KLNFhvaxp7PZje6669Ls)

**Note:**&#x20;

* The invitation mechanism is a long-term process, so the total score in the user's account will not be cleared but will continue to accumulate, and at the end of each period only the accumulated score during the period will be used to calculate the reward. The regular period prize pool will always be 10% of the transaction fee income.
* Invitation rewards will be unified as stablecoin rewards, and users will first see their estimated rewards in USD in the DApp interface, which will be converted into the equivalent value of stablecoin rewards to users when rewards are finally issued or claimed.
* Invitation rewards will be issued in two ways depending on the account system, user-initiated claiming of rewards and automatic sending to the user's wallet.
  * Zenlink DEX deployed on Bifrost uses the PolkadotJS account system, where invitation rewards are sent directly to the user's account with no additional action required by the user.
  * Zenlink DEX deployed on Moonriver uses the MetaMask account system, and users must actively claim rewards.

## Tutorial

**Step 1:** Enter Zenlink DEX DApp and click the sharing icon in the upper right corner after successfully connecting to your wallet.

![](/files/AhTStVYR5nCxyqFijX7C)

**Step 2:** Click the two buttons next to "My invitation code" below, and you can copy your invitation code or invitation link respectively (depending on your communication needs).

![](/files/rEQb3qNPqtJcS1hKUbx9)

It should be noted that if you enter Zenlink DEX DApp through an invitation link sent to you by someone else, you will first see the invitation interface and the invitation code you are going to bind has been parsed in the "Referral" input box, you need to click the "Confirm" button on the right to complete the invitation relationship binding. Similarly, the same is true for others to enter through your invitation link.

You are free to choose whether or not to enter the invitation code in the input box, but you still need to click the "Confirm" button on the right to complete the invitation relationship binding.

# X-Transfer

![](/files/0Vkstf6tdT9v8oe3ycMC)

## What is X-Transfer?

X-Transfer is a new feature of Zenlink, which integrates cross-chain and token transfer functions and will be a great convenience for the community. Overall, it contains two parts: cross-chain and token transfer.

## Cross-Chain <a href="#id-0c0f" id="id-0c0f"></a>

The Cross-Chain module mainly consists of two types of cross-chain bridges, Substrate<>Substrate bridge and EVM<>Substrate bridge. The Zenlink team will gradually improve and enrich its services to provide one-stop cross-chain bridge services for the community.

### Substrate<>Substrate Bridge <a href="#baf4" id="baf4"></a>

According to the plan, we will have a queue to support cross-chain services between different Substrate native parachains, as outlined below.

#### **Kusama**

* **Kusama<>Bifrost Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled):** supports KSM cross-chain transfers from the Kusama network to Bifrost, the reverse transfer is available as well.
* **Karura<>Bifrost Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled)**: supports cross-chain transfers of assets such as BNC & KAR & aUSD between the Bifrost and Karura networks.
* **Khala<>Bifrost Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled)**: supports cross-chain transfers of assets such as ZLK & BNC & PHA between the Bifrost and Khala networks.
* **Statemine>Bifrost** **Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled)**: supports fungible tokens on Statemine (like RMRK) to cross-chain to Bifrost Network via HRMP.
* **Statemine>Moonriver** **Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled)**: supports fungible tokens on Statemine to cross-chain to the Moonriver network via HRMP and exist as XC-20s. For example, the RMRK token on Statemine is migrated to Moonriver and then used as xcRMRK.
* **Kusama<>Moonriver** **Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled)**: supports KSM cross-chain transfer from Kusama to Moonriver and is accessible and usable on Moonriver as xcKSM, the reverse transfer is available as well.
* **Kintsugi<>Moonriver Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled):** supports KINT (and soon kBTC) cross-chain transfer from Kintsugi to Moonriver and is accessible and usable on Moonriver as xcKINT, the reverse transfer is available as well.
* **Karura<>Moonriver Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled):** supports KAR & aUSD cross-chain transfer from Karura to Moonriver and is accessible and usable on Moonriver as xcKAR & xcAUSD, the reverse transfer is available as well.
* **Calamari<>Moonriver Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled)**: supports KMA cross-chain transfer from Calamari to Moonriver and is accessible and usable on Moonriver as xcKMA, the reverse transfer is available as well.
* More cross-chain bridge services between Substrate parachains will be added…

#### **Polkadot**

* **Polkadot<>Moonbeam** **Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled)**: supports DOT cross-chain transfer from Kusama to Moonbeam and is accessible and usable on Moonbeam as xcDOT, the reverse transfer is available as well.
* **Acala<>Moonbeam Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled):** supports ACA\&aUSD cross-chain transfer from Acala Network to Moonbeam Network and is accessible and usable on Moonbeam as xcACA\&xcAUSD, the reverse transfer is available as well.

### EVM<>Substrate Bridge <a href="#id-2452" id="id-2452"></a>

The cross-chain transfer between EVM and Substrate has been desired by the dotsama community, and once the technology is mature Zenlink will also integrate this cross-chain bridge service to bring convenience to the community, more details are as follows.

* **Moonriver<>Bifrost Cross-Chain Bridge Service (enabled):** supports ZLK cross-chain transfer from Moonriver network to Bifrost network, the reverse transfer is available as well.
* More cross-chain bridge services between EVM and Substrate will be added…

## Token Transfer <a href="#id-0eff" id="id-0eff"></a>

As we all know, the EVM chain and EVM compatible chains have a well-established infrastructure that allows users to transfer tokens with little friction through wallet extensions or mobile wallets. However, since Substrate is still in a high development phase, it is not as convenient for users to transfer tokens. Although users can transfer tokens through PolkadotJS or tools provided by para chains (DApp, etc.), there is still a lot of friction for users to complete token transfers as they are fragmented and mostly separate from DEX.

Therefore, Zenlink has also integrated this feature in the X-Transfer module, and we believe that integrating it in DEX will make token transfers smoother and more articulable for users.

Currently, Zenlink DEX already supports Bifrost network assets in X-Transfer with one click to transfer and view balance, it also includes all assets that cross-chain to the Bifrost network such as KSM, KAR, kUSD, etc., so users will be able to easily transfer these assets to another account and trade in Zenlink DEX.

This is an overview of the X-Transfer feature. Although it is still being improved, we can’t wait to bring this news to the community and serve all the dotsama community users. We will get better and better, as our slogan says, Make DEX easier, for more people!

## How to use X-Transfer to transfer tokens between parachains (or between relaychain and parachain)?

Before making a cross-chain transfer, make sure you have enough native token balance on the source chain for the cross-chain transfer, and set aside a small amount of tokens for cross-chain network fees. (The following tutorial is an example of transferring KSM from the Kusama relaychain to the Moonriver network)

**Step 1:** Go to<https://dex.zenlink.pro/#/swap>, connect PolkadotJS and Metamask wallets and find the "X-transfer" module on the Swap page, keep the default "Cross-chain" option.

![](/files/J3sNNuDvMMxEfKEr5ugx)

**Step 2:** Select the token "KSM" and select the Source chain and Destination chain as Kusama and Moonriver respectively, then enter the amount you want to cross-chain. (Make sure you have the balance of KSM on the Kusama network in your PolkadotJS account)

![](/files/Rd5X3fbN20wxo3dH8V1O)

**Step 3:** Enter the Moonriver address as the xcKSM receiving address, confirm the information is correct and click the Transfer button below, then sign in PolkadotJS to submit the transaction.

![](/files/aDq7JQg7Cewx4FRGF2Rz)

Wait a while, once the cross-chain transfer is complete you will be able to view your xcKSM balance in Moonscan, or you can click on the wallet icon in the top right corner of the Zenlink app and select Moonriver parachain to view your xcKSM balance.

Finally, you can use xcKSM to participate in LP faming on Zenlink and earn rewards, enjoy!

## FAQ

**Q: Can I cross-chain my assets to my CEX account?**

A: No, please do not enter your CEX deposit address when cross-chaining, since cross-chain transfers are not the same type as regular transfers, so it will not be recognized and accepted by CEX, and it may result in the loss of your assets. When you click on "+ Recipient" in X-Transfer's “Cross-chain” module to enter your address, we will prompt you for it, please follow it.

If you still want to do this, we recommend that you first cross-chain your assets to your account on the target chain and then deposit your assets to CEX using the target chain's official transfer tool, e.g.

* <https://bifrost.app/>
* [https://apps.karura.network/](https://apps.karura.network/portfolio)

**Q: Does the "Transfer" apply to tokens transfer on any parachain?**

A: No, "Transfer" only supports Bifrost in-chain transfers. In addition, we still want to remind you of the following.

* "Transfer" only supports Bifrost in-chain transfers.
* Transfers to CEX accounts will not be supported for Bifrost parachain assets other than BNC, please do not enter a CEX deposit address.
* Please always make sure that the receiving address matches the transfer network.

**Q: How to check if I receive xcKSM？**

A: As XC-20 Token has just gone live and we are working on integrating the transaction records into the DApp dashboard until then you can check if you have received your xcKSM in two ways.

1\) With the EVM wallet receiving xcKSM connected in the Zenlink DEX DApp, click the "Wallet" button in the upper right corner to check the xcKSM balance.

2\) Visit <https://moonriver.moonscan.io/token/0xffffffff1fcacbd218edc0eba20fc2308c778080> and check the xcKSM balance by entering the address of the receiving xcKSM in the lookup box below.

# Bootstrap

### Introduction to Bootstrap

Bootstrap is designed to help bootstrap liquidity of a token pair, enabling liquidity pools to be created with greater capital efficiency during initial allocation and price discovery. It will separate the process of price changes, pair allocation, and liquidity construction, thus creating more reasonable exchange rates before trading, and effectively avoiding pre-emptive trading, etc.

### Bootstrap Parameters and Status

Bootstrap a liquidity pool generally contains the following parameters:

* **End block height**: liquidity pool cannot be started before a specific block height.
* **Minimum target provision of token A**: minimum liquidity requirements of token A.
* **Minimum target provision of token B**: minimum liquidity requirements of token B.
* **Maximum target provision of token A**: the liquidity hardcap of token A.
* **Maximum target provision of token B**: the liquidity hardcap of token B.

The liquidity pool can be started only if the following conditions are met:

* End block height exceeds.
* The minimum target provision of token A and B have been achieved.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Note:** if any of the above conditions are not met, Bootstrap fails and cannot enable liquidity pool through Bootstrap.
{% endhint %}

**A complete Bootstrap process should contain the following states:**

* **Ongoing**: refers to the state in which all set goals are in progress.
* **Success**: the state in which all conditions are met and a liquidity pool is enabled.
* **Failed**: a state in which at least one set goal has not been achieved when the block height has been reached.

### Bootstrap Process

During Bootstrap:

* Trading is not allowed.
* Users can add liquidity to either Token A or Token B only, or to both Token A and B at the same time. The real exchange rate of Token A and B will be known only after the Bootstrap is completed.
* You should participate in Bootstrap only if you want to be the liquidity provider of a trading pair, and users should understand the problems related to the liquidity provider and the risks before participating in Bootstrap.

### LP token and Share Calculation

LP tokens are vouchers to add liquidity to the liquidity pool. The LP share (= your LP tokens/total LP tokens) is the proportion of the liquidity contribution of a particular pool, for example, token A-B pool. LP tokens will be generated and opened for claiming only after the Bootstrap is successful and completed (the user must manually claim the LP tokens).

The following formula is used to calculate the LP tokens after contributing to the Bootstrap pool:

$$
estimatedAmount0 = \frac{amount0}{2}+\frac{amount1*totalAmount0}{2*totalAmount1}\estimatedAmount1 = \frac{amount1}{2}+\frac{amount0*totalAmount1}{2*totalAmount0}\totalLp = \sqrt{(totalAmount0\*totalAmount1)}\estimatedLp = \frac{\sqrt{(estimatedAmount0 \* estimatedAmount1)} \* (totalLp-1000)}{totalLp}
$$

### Bootstrap Completed

There are two situations that occur after the end of the Bootstrap:

**(1) Bootstrap is successful**

* Users need to claim their own LP tokens after the completion of Bootstrap.
* Token A-B pool will be enabled and open for trading.

**(2) Bootstrap failed**

* The user manually redeems the tokens provided when adding liquidity (Token A or B or Token A & B)

### Claim LP Tokens or Redeem Tokens

Once Bootstrap is successful, LP tokens will be allocated to all users who add liquidity during the Bootstrap process, and users can claim them in the following ways (generally speaking, after a successful Bootstrap, there will be a settlement period of several hours before users can claim their LP tokens):

* Enter DApp:<https://dex.zenlink.pro/#/bootstrap/list>.
* Check "My Bootstrap", select the Bootstrap that you participated in and completed successfully, and click claim.
* After signing and confirming the transaction in the wallet, you can complete the application for the LP token, and then you can find the LP token on the "Pool" page.

If Bootstrap fails, users need to manually redeem their contributed tokens:

* Enter DApp:<https://dex.zenlink.pro/#/bootstrap/list>.
* Check "My Bootstrap", select the Bootstrap that you participated in and failed, and click redeem.
* After signing and confirming the transaction in the wallet, you can complete the redemption of the token.

### How to apply for Bootstrap?

If you are a developer and want to be able to use the Bootstrap program to achieve certain liquidity goals and list your Token with the help of the community, then you can submit your application by filling out this form: <https://forms.gle/RYPZgxhHBHf7UkSH6>.

You can also contact us through <apollo@zenlink.pro>.

# Farming Mechanism

## Introduction to Farming v2 on Moonriver\&Moonbeam

{% hint style="info" %}
Farming v2 is only deployed to the Moonriver and Moonbeam networks, and the Bifrost network follows a different mechanism, please refer to the next section.
{% endhint %}

Farming v2 is an improved version of Farming v1, which solves the problems of Farming v1 such as the inability to add multiple reward tokens and the need to frequently migrate LP tokens, it provides users with a more simple and convenient staking/farming experience.&#x20;

### Key Parameters and Status

**Reward Token:** denotes the reward tokens for LPs that contribute liquidity to the pool, and a pool can have multiple reward tokens

**Reward Release Rate:** denotes *X* reward tokens per block

**Minimum Rewards Claimable Interval:** the block interval between two adjacent reward-claimable time points

**Claimable Reward Block:** "Start Block" + n \* "Minimum Rewards Claimable Interval", where n ≥ 1. For example, if "Start Block" is 100 and "Minimum Rewards Claimable Interval" is 200, then "Claimable Reward Block" will be \[300, 500, 700...]

**Next Claimable Reward Block:** The closest "Claimable Reward Block". Referring to the above example, suppose the "Current Block" is 450, then the "Next Claimable Reward Block" is 500 (the conversion to time will be displayed in the Zenlink DEX DApp front-end)

**Active:** denotes the status of farming in progress (the "long term" of the front-end display does not mean permanent, it means a continuous state where rewards do not stop.)

**Ended:** denotes the status of the end of farming (stop incentivizing the pool with the reward release rate of 0)

### Key Features

* Farming v2 uses only one long-term contract to manage and run all farming pools, users no longer need to redeem staking tokens after a period of time and re-stake in new farming pools, once you have staked tokens you will continue to earn rewards until the rewards in the pool are fully released or you actively redeem your tokens.
* Stake tokens must be ERC20 tokens (XC-20s), which can be LP Tokens or single tokens (ZLK, WMOVR, WGLMR, BNC, etc.). For a given stake token, multiple farming pools can be created with one or more reward tokens and different “reward release rates”.
* All farming pools will have a “minimum rewards claimable interval”, which is uniform for all, and each account can claim rewards only once in each interval, users can refer to the countdown displayed on the Zenlink DEX frontend to get the next claimable reward time.
* Rewards are released on a block-by-block basis, and the daily rewards shown on the Zenlink DEX DApp front-end page are calculated from the rewards contained in each block (i.e. the reward release rate) and converted over time.

### Rewards Calculation

Rewards are calculated based on every block. In a block, a user’s reward allocation is equal to his share times the reward rate.

$$
Reward\_i = Share\_i \* Rate\_i
$$

* Reward\_i, rewards that a user can get in block i
* Share\_i, pool share that a user have in block i
* Rate\_i, reward rate in block i

Because some on-chain actions would cause the farming pool status change, for example, other users execute deposit/redeem action, or the reward rate needs to be adjusted. It means that a user’s pool share is variable, so the accumulated reward cannot be simply obtained by multiplication. It should be given by the following formula:

$$
Reward\_T = \sum\_{i=m}^nReward\_i
$$

* Reward\_T, total reward
* Reward\_i, rewards that a user can get in block i
* m, the block num when a user deposits
* n, the block num when a user redeems

### **Rewards Claim**

Users can claim rewards once in each reward interval, please refer to the countdown displayed on the front end of Zenlink DEX DAPP for the specific time to claim rewards.

Check out the farming page here: <https://dex.zenlink.pro/#/earn/stake>

## Introduction to the ZLK Staking Mechanism on Bifrost

{% hint style="info" %}
On the Bifrost side, the user can always **claim rewards at any time** without any restrictions except for ZLK staking, so the following section will focus on the ZLK staking mechanism on Bifrost. (Not related to other faming pools on Bifrost)
{% endhint %}

### Key Parameters and Status of Redeem

**Redeem Limit Time:** denotes the time interval between the confirmation of redemption and the withdrawal of funds to the account

**Unlock Limit Numbers:** denotes the maximum numbers of unlocks available for an account in a pool

**Unlocks:** the status indicating that the funds have ended the redeem limit time and can be redeemed to the account at any time

**Pending Unlocks:** the status of being in redeem limit time

**Pending Unlock Numbers:** denotes the sum of the number of orders in both unlocks and pending unlocks, but it should always be less than the unlock limit numbers

### Main Process of Redeem

* When a user wants to make a redeem, a confirmation of the redeem will be made first, and once the user has successfully submitted a confirmation transaction for the redeem, the redeem will enter the **Pending Unlocks** status, and rewards will be claimed.
* When the **Redeem Limit Time** is over, the order will enter the **Unlocks** state.
* When there are available orders in **Unlocks** status, users will be able to unlock all available unlock orders and redeem the corresponding funds with one click by clicking on Unlock button.

**Note:**

* The total number of orders in the **Pending Unlocks** and **Unlocks** states is always less than the **Unlock Limit Numbers**, otherwise, the redeem operation will not be available.
* Orders in both **Pending Unlocks** and **Unlocks** status can be canceled and the available unlock numbers will be released. Once the order is canceled, the funds will be re-staked to the pool and the reward will be recalculated.

# Mega Aggregator

Aggregate The World

[Zenlink Mega Aggregator](https://app.zenlink.pro/) is designed to help users achieve optimal trading results across multiple chains and exchanges by combining off-chain computing and on-chain smart contracts.&#x20;

To further enhance the user experience, the Mega Aggregator will be integrated into Zenlink DEX, and users can choose whether to turn on the aggregator switch in the settings in the UI interface.

<figure><img src="/files/J4OUA3SmB6nzPA2RuXO3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Zenlink Mega Aggregator helps users get the best trading price while offering low transaction fees, with the base fee set at 0.1%.

{% hint style="info" %}
Please note that since trading with Zenlink Mega Aggregator usually involves multiple DEXs, the 0.1% base transaction fee is in addition to the transaction fee set by the DEX involved.
{% endhint %}

## Astar Integration

The Mega Aggregator will first be available on the Astar network, and the integrated DEXs including:&#x20;

* [ArthSwap](https://twitter.com/arthswap)

{% hint style="info" %}
The Zenlink Mega Aggregator on Arbitrum follows the same base fee and referral program rules, but since ZLK is not distributed on the Arbitrum network, the additional fee discounts for ZLK holders will not apply.
{% endhint %}

This is our first expansion outside of the Polkadot ecosystem, and we will be collecting user feedback and providing guidance for future expansion plans, so feel free to send us any feedback or suggestions.

In the next section, we will introduce the aggregator's referral program.&#x20;

<details>

<summary><a href="/pages/V4ME47heTjriKOb2uY9o">Referral Program</a></summary>

</details>

# Referral Program

To encourage users to use and benefit from the Zenlink Mega Aggregator, we have introduced a referral program where the inviter will receive a rebate on transactions from the invitee and the invitee will receive a discount on transaction fees. In addition, we offer an additional discount for ZLK holders that does not conflict with the referral program and can be stacked on top of it. Details are as follows:&#x20;

{% hint style="info" %}

1. The referral program runs through the smart contract, the binding relationship between the inviter and the invitee, and the calculation of discounts and rebates are all calculated through the smart contract.
2. The referral program has only two levels of binding relationship, for example, if A invites B and B invites C, then C's transaction will only create rebates for B and has no relationship with A.
3. The referral program is only valid for aggregator trades, which means that if you turn off the aggregator switch in DEX there will be no fee discounts or rebates.
   {% endhint %}

## Get fee discounts or earn rebates

**For Traders:** Registering with someone else's referral code will result in a 20% discount on the transaction fee (e.g. based on a base fee of 0.1%, the actual fee for a transaction with a referral code is 0.08%)

<figure><img src="/files/L5KHvp6TvBQqVf2v6UXo" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**For Affiliates (Affiliates or inviters):** Generate your own exclusive referral code and provide the referral code for others to sign up, then 25% of the invitee's transaction fee will be rebated to the affiliate/inviter.&#x20;

For example, if the base transaction fee is 0.1% and the invitee fills in the exclusive referral code of the affiliate/inviter before the trade, then his actual transaction fee is 0.08% and 25% of it will be rebated to the affiliate/inviter, i.e. 0.02% of the invitee's transaction fee (0.08%\*25%=0.02%) will be rebated to the affiliate/inviter.

<figure><img src="/files/e9Y4byJ7jRokRRMiAFIC" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Additional fee discount for ZLK holders

The community has always been our driving force, so in addition to the referral program, we have added an additional fee discount for our loyal ZLK holders that is not in conflict with the referral program and can be stacked on top of the referral program to get the maximum discount, with the following rules:&#x20;

The discount is divided into a total of 8 tiers and is calculated based on the amount of ZLK assets held in the account.

| Tier  | Position Size         | Discount |
| ----- | --------------------- | -------- |
| Tier0 | ZLK = 0               | 0%       |
| Tier1 | 0 < ZLK < 5000        | 3%       |
| Tier2 | 5000 ≤ ZLK < 30000    | 5%       |
| Tier3 | 30000 ≤ ZLK < 60000   | 10%      |
| Tier4 | 60000 ≤ ZLK < 100000  | 12%      |
| Tier5 | 100000 ≤ ZLK < 150000 | 15%      |
| Tier6 | 150000 ≤ ZLK < 300000 | 18%      |
| Tier7 | ZLK ≤ 300000          | 20%      |

When you connect to a wallet account, the DApp will read the ZLK balance in that account and show you which tier you are at and add a blue check ✅ mark to that tier.

<figure><img src="/files/XQ67qHoLmFtXmPVQu5Yt" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Taking the account discount tier in the screenshot above as an example, assuming the account fills out a referral code to register before trading, he will get a 20% discount on transaction fees, and since the account holds ZLK tokens and is at tier 1, it will get an additional 3% discount, which ultimately gives it a 23% discount on transaction fees, and with a 0.1% base transaction fee, it actually pays transaction fee of 0.077% \[0.1% - 0.1% \* (20% + 3%)］.

# Smart Order Routing

From smart order routing to aggregator.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The aggregator is part of the future Zenlink DEX Network, and the Zenlink team will start with smart order routing to complete it step by step, so let's first learn what Zenlink smart order routing is.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/NybcIynxXFtcAJyicXSD" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Smart Order Routing Overview

In order to help users find the best trading path and bring users the best trading experience, Zenlink built Smart Order Routing. With this Smart Order Routing function, Zenlink can aggregate all liquidity on parachains connected to Zenlink DEX Protocol, becoming an one-stop-shop that aggregates the optimal token price across parachains “market depth”, whether mainstream trading pairs or long-tailed trading pairs.

## Smart Order Routing Strategy

Zenlink smart order routing adopts a new routing algorithm, which can effectively make use of many “market depths” in the same protocol and obtain the optimal transaction price by optimizing the transaction path for users in real time. According to the current scenario design, when a user plans to make a transaction, the execution strategy is rough as follows:&#x20;

**Step 1:** user enters the tokens and the amount of tokens they plan to buy (sell), and the DEX front end begins to simulate smart order routing transactions in the Zenlink DEX liquidity pool (Pool) of all parachains. The routing will filter out the feasible solution of the transaction through “depth” priority search in all pAfterools in a single chain and prioritize the transaction path to get the optimal solution.

**Step 2:** After the simulated routing transaction of all chains, a set of optimal solutions of each parachain will be obtained and the chains in which the first ***N*** optimal solutions are listed in order will be used as the input parameters of the Split Trade.

**Step 3:** After obtaining the ***N*** chains that specifically execute the split trade, the route will be split for the first time, and the first split will allocate more transaction share to the more optimal price chain in the above-simulated routing transaction. After the share is allocated, the route calculation will get the solution after the first split. Compared with the simulated optimal solution obtained before the split, the better chain after price fluctuation will get more transaction share allocation in the next split.

**Step 4:** continue to carry out the previous step until the trading price fluctuation on each chain after allocation shows a gentle situation and is lower than a certain threshold, then the current best-split result is obtained and used as the final trading path.

In short, in the preliminary design scheme of Zenlink smart order routing, when it comes to cross-chain transactions, the route will at least simulate the transaction results in different paths in more than two parachains, and finally select the Pool on ***N*** parachains with the best simulation results to split the transaction.

It is worth mentioning that the above-mentioned selection of ***N*** optimal solution chains as the input parameters of the split transaction will not be too large. The reason for this design is that such transactions involve cross-chain Transfer to ensure the success rate of routing transactions and avoid “invalid” routes caused by the time difference caused by cross-chain Transfer between too many parachains. Therefore, a more balanced value will be sought as the value of ***N*** in the final routing scheme.

# Hybrid AMM

After several years of development, DEX has derived various forms. This also makes different users have different needs for DEX. For example:

* From the perspective of transaction demand, it can be divided into two categories, stable currency token exchange and conventional token exchange.
* From the perspective of liquidity providers(LPs), it can be divided into stability preference and risk preference.

Obviously, users need to go to different DEXs to meet their unique needs. For example, LPs who like stable income and hate impermanent losses will go to Curve to provide liquidity, while users who want to quickly trade current popular tokens will choose Uniswap, which is more flexible and can freely create trading pairs. So is there a DEX that can meet these needs at the same time? Let's introduce Zenlink Hybrid AMM to you.

### What is Zenlink Hybrid AMM?

Zenlink Hybrid AMM consists of stable AMM and standard AMM. Stable AMM adopts the curve of Curve, which can make two tokens with similar market prices (such as stable coins) complete large-value transactions with extremely low slippage. Standard AMM adopts the Uniswap v2 mechanism, which allows users to freely create any trading pair and adapt to market changes in time. At the same time, it can also provide low slippage trading in the case of better depth.

### What’s the benefit of Hybrid AMM?

Meet the risk appetite of different LPs. Risk-averse LPs can provide funds to the stable pool, and obtain stable transaction fee income and farming income, and can avoid impermanent losses. Risk-loving LPs can also provide funds to the standard pool. Although they will suffer some uncertain impermanent losses, they can also obtain extremely high Farming income.

Meet different user transaction needs. With stable pools with excellent depth and diversified standard pools, we can creatively combine them through Smart Route to provide users with the best price and trading experience.

### How do users use it?&#x20;

For LPs, Stable AMM and Standard AMM are free to choose when adding/removing liquidity.&#x20;

![](/files/tKpl0A5oBky1MblEiGaE)

For trading users, only need to specify the input token, the output token and the amount on the swap page, and Smart Route will automatically calculate the optimal path. They just need one click to implement the transaction.

# Introduction

A permissionless yield marketplace based on the Polkadot ecosystem.

## Overview

Zenlink Eden is a permissionless yield marketplace based on the Polkadot ecosystem. We are committed to returning control of yields to users by introducing advanced DeFi yield management solutions. This makes yield tokenization and liquidity management simple and efficient, allowing users to execute more advanced yield strategies through the platform.

Zenlink Eden is now live on the Moonbeam network. To understand Zenlink Eden, it can be divided into three main parts:&#x20;

### Yield Tokenization

Zenlink Eden allows users to wrap yield-bearing tokens like vDOT, vGLMR, and other yield-bearing tokens in the Polkadot ecosystem into SY (Standardized Yield Tokens). After wrapping (e.g. vDOT → SY-vDOT), the underlying yield-bearing tokens will be compatible with Zenlink AMM. These SY tokens can be split into PT (Principal Tokens) and YT (yield tokens).

This process is known as yield tokenization, where the principal and yield are separated into two separate tokens.

### Zenlink AMM

Zenlink is the first cross-chain DEX protocol on Polkadot, it has been live on multiple parachains including Bifrost Polkadot, Bifrost Kusama, Moonbeam, Moonriver, Astar, Pendulum, Amplitude, and has been adopted by multiple projects like Manta Network and Interlay for building their frontend interfaces based on Zenlink DEX. Additionally, Zenlink Mega Aggregator is also live on several major Layer2, including Base, Arbitrum, and Scroll.

Zenlink Eden is a new product launched on Moonbeam Network, powered by Zenlink. Users will be able to trade PT and YT on Zenlink Eden, offering flexible yield management and trading strategies, including fixed income, long positions on yield, and liquidity provision yields. In Zenlink Eden, users will use a new Zenlink AMM, which employs curves and algorithms different from the traditional Uniswap V2.

Although Zenlink AMM is different from the previous Zenlink DEX and Zenlink Mega Aggregator, they will work in tandem. When users trade PT and YT using other supported assets, the Zenlink Mega Aggregator routing may be involved to help users seamlessly trade PT and YT with any supported assets.

### veZLK Mechanism

Zenlink Eden will introduce the veZLK mechanism, allowing users to gain voting power and governance rights by locking ZLK tokens, and increasing yield rewards while executing advanced yield strategies.

### Key Features

* **Permissionless:** Zenlink Eden is a permissionless protocol, ensuring that anyone can access and use it, or build upon it.
* **Diversified Strategies:** Zenlink Eden offers diversified strategies, allowing users to choose suitable yield strategies based on market conditions and risk preferences.
* **User-Friendly:** Zenlink Eden aims to create a user-friendly platform, enabling users to easily engage in yield trading even without understanding AMM mechanisms.

## Advanced Yield Strategies

This section briefly introduces the advanced yield strategies that users can execute through Zenlink Eden.

* **Fixed Yield:** By purchasing and holding PT, users can lock in fixed yield (this income comes from the underlying yield of yield-bearing assets, e.g. earn fixed yield on vDOT, which from staking DOT), reducing the risk of yield fluctuations.
* **Long Yield:** By purchasing YT (indicating your expectation that the yield of a certain token will rise in the future), users can earn higher returns when yields increase.
* **LP Yield:** By providing liquidity to Zenlink Eden, users can earn trading fees and liquidity rewards, increasing overall returns (e.g. provide liquidity with vDOT).

Through these features, Zenlink Eden enables users to maximize the potential of yield management within the Polkadot ecosystem. For more details on how to execute the above strategies, please refer to our [user guide](/zenlinkeden/user-guide).

# FAQ

## General Questions

### **1. Which network does Zenlink Eden work on?**

Zenlink Eden is now live on the Moonbeam network. Other networks are not supported at this time. Users need to switch network to Moonbeam and hold GLMR tokens in their wallet for network gas fees.

### 2. How can I transfer vTokens from Bifrost to the Moonbeam network?

Since Zenlink Eden is only available on Moonbeam network, users holding vTokens (vDOT, vGLMR etc.) on the Bifrost Polkadot or other Polkadot parachains need to cross-chain transfer the assets to the Moonbeam network. The cross-chain transfer is powered by Polkadot XCM. You can refer to the following links for transfer:&#x20;

* Bifrost App: <https://app.bifrost.io/crosschain>
* Moonbeam App: <https://apps.moonbeam.network/moonbeam/xcm>

### 3. What is the maturity date?

Each PT and YT has a maturity date. If you hold PT, you can redeem the full underlying tokens after the maturity date (eg. PT-vDOT → DOT). As for YT, the yield from the underlying yield-bearing tokens accumulates and is distributed only until the maturity date. After the maturity date, YT will no longer have value.

### 4. When would I need to use the (Un)wrap function?

Generally, users do not need to use the (Un)wrap function manually. All operations that involve wrapping yield-bearing tokens into SY are executed automatically by the protocol.

However, since the interest accrued by YT from the underlying yield-bearing assets is distributed through SY tokens, users will need to use the "Unwrap" function to convert SY back into yield-bearing assets or perform other operations like providing liquidity after claiming YT interest.

### 5. How can I earn fixed yield through Zenlink Eden?

You can earn fixed yield by using Zenlink Eden's Swap function to exchange yield-bearing assets (such as vDOT) for PT and simply holding PT until the maturity date. As mentioned, PT can be redeemed for the full underlying tokens after the maturity date. For example, 1 PT-vDOT can be redeemed for 1 DOT (or 1 vDOT worth of DOT) after maturity.

### 6. What is an Epoch?

In Zenlink Eden, an Epoch is exactly one week. Each Epoch starts and ends on Thursday at 00:00 UTC.

Each Epoch will have a veZLK voting snapshot, and the fees accumulated in each pool will be distributed every 4-5 weeks to veZLK holders who voted for the pools.

### 7. Why is the underlying APY shown on Zenlink Eden different from the APY shown in the underlying protocol?

The underlying APY displayed on Zenlink Eden is a 7-day average of the underlying protocol (with some assets like GLP as exceptions) to smoothen out short-term fluctuations of the underlying protocol's APY.

## Providing Liquidity

### 1. How do I provide liquidity on Zenlink Eden?

Liquidity pools on Zenlink Eden consist of SY and PT. To provide liquidity on Zenlink Eden, simply click on the pool you wish to provide liquidity for and switch to the "Add" function on that page. There are two ways to provide liquidity:

* **Zap In:** By providing a single yield-bearing token, the protocol will help you convert it into SY and further split it into SY (50%) and PT + YT (50%), then add the equivalent value of SY and PT to the liquidity pool (how YT is handled depends on whether you use the zero slippage mode, which will be explained below). All operations will be automatically calculated and executed by the protocol. You only need to input the single yield-bearing token you want to invest in and accept the LP tokens afterward.<br>

  Difference between zero slippage mode and non-zero slippage mode:<br>

  * In zero slippage mode, the YT split from the underlying yield-bearing token (50% SY and 50% PT + YT) will be returned to you, and the protocol will automatically balance the remaining value of SY and PT before adding them to the liquidity pool.
  * In non-zero slippage mode, the assets added by the user will be partially exchanged for PT directly in the pool, and then SY and PT will be added to the liquidity pool.<br>
* **Manual:** By manually providing equivalent value yield-bearing tokens (converted to SY by the protocol) and PT to the liquidity pool.

<figure><img src="/files/mKnTqIFPfqRn05uLTyVU" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### 2. What rewards can I earn by providing liquidity?

* Trading fees generated by the liquidity pool
* ZLK rewards
* Rewards distributed by the underlying yield-bearing asset protocol (e.g., vDOT corresponding to DOT appreciation)

### 3. Do I need to stake my LP tokens to earn rewards?

No, LP token holders are eligible to earn rewards without staking.

## veZLK

### 1. What is veZLK?

veZLK is the governance system of Zenlink, representing the user's voting power in the protocol.

### 2. How do I lock my ZLK to get veZLK?

You can lock your ZLK on the <https://app.zenlink.pro/gauge> page and get veZLK. The locking period ranges from a minimum of 1 week to a maximum of 2 years. The longer the locking period, the more veZLK you can obtain. The more veZLK you hold, the greater your voting power.

<figure><img src="/files/iYgHXQv2hPtTZH6Ki5lv" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### 3. When will my ZLK unlock?

As mentioned, you can lock ZLK into veZLK for a maximum period of 2 years. It can only be unlocked and redeemed after the locking period expires. Each wallet has a single unlock date. If you extend the locking period or lock more ZLK, your veZLK amount and unlock date will be updated.

### 4. How does veZLK work?

Users need to lock ZLK to get veZLK. The longer the locking period, the more veZLK you will obtain. However, your veZLK value will decay over time. You can counteract this decay by extending the locking period or locking more ZLK.

We use veZLK to control the ZLK token rewards allocated to LPs. You will decide the incentives for each liquidity pool by voting for the pools you want to incentivize. The more veZLK you hold, the greater your voting power.

You will earn 40% of the fee income from the pool you voted for. The "Voter APY" displayed on the interface is the annualized fee income yield (pre-voting yield).&#x20;

Note: Voter APY will be calculated and displayed after the first rewards distribution.

### 5. What is the maximum LP yield boost by locking ZLK?

The maximum LP yield boost from locking ZLK is 250%. You can see the amount of ZLK needed to achieve the maximum boost for each locking period using the "Add" function.

For example, to add 10 vDOT liquidity to a pool, the amount of ZLK required for a 250% LP yield boost is 3000 ZLK for a 3-month lock, 800 ZLK for a 1-year lock, and 400 ZLK for a 2-year lock. The longer the locking period, the less ZLK is required to boost LP yields to 250%.

<figure><img src="/files/ttnKaRuziCLnTsrt2wSk" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### 6. How do I trigger the Boost?

* If you have locked ZLK and obtained veZLK before adding liquidity: After successfully adding liquidity, all your LP's incentives will be further enhanced, up to 250%, based on your veZLK value. To achieve the maximum boost, you must hold veZLK proportional to your LP share in the pool.
* If you lock ZLK and obtain veZLK after adding liquidity: You will need to manually click "Boost" in the "My Rewards" panel under the "Add" function to trigger the reward enhancement.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/1ebpYufhgvxxrBr9Hlbw" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Protocol Mechanisms

# Glossary

#### Yield-Bearing Token

Yield-bearing token is a general term referring to any token that can generate yield. Examples include vDOT, vGLMR, stDOT, etc.

#### **SY = Standardized Yield Token (SY)**

SY is a token standard ([EIP-5115](https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-5115), written by the Pendle team, and Zenlink is a fork of Pendle) that can wrap any yield-bearing token and provides a standardized interface for interacting with the yield generation mechanism of any yield-bearing token. SY is purely a technical component that users do not interact with directly.

#### **PT = Principal Token (PT)**

PT is derived from the underlying yield-bearing token and represents the principal portion. Holding PT means you own the principal and can redeem the underlying yield-bearing token at maturity. For example, if you have a 1 PT-vDOT maturing in 1 year, you can redeem vDOT worth 1 DOT after 1 year.

PT can be traded at any time before maturity.

#### **YT = Yield Token (YT)**

YT is derived from the underlying yield-bearing token and represents the yield portion. Holding YT means you own all real-time yields generated by the underlying asset and can manually claim the accumulated yield at any time on the Zenlink Eden dashboard.

If you hold 1 YT-vDOT and the average yield of vDOT is 5%, you will accumulate vDOT worth 0.05 DOT by the end of the year.

YT can be traded at any time before maturity.

#### **Maturity**

PT can be fully redeemed on the maturity date for its underlying yield-bearing assets, while YT stops accruing yield. The same asset can have multiple maturity dates, each with a separate market. Therefore, the implied yield of the same asset may vary across different maturity dates.

#### **Underlying APY**

The underlying annual percentage yield, or "underlying APY," represents the 7-day moving average yield of the underlying asset. This method provides a more accurate indication of the underlying yield over a period, helping traders better assess the future average underlying APY.

#### **Implied APY**

The implied annual percentage yield, or "implied APY," is the market's consensus on the future APY of an asset. This value is calculated based on the price ratio of YT and PT using the following formula:&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/RwGQnIeNC2zxJWUo4JC0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

When used together with the underlying APY, the implied APY can be used to evaluate the relative valuation of assets like YT and PT at the current prices, helping traders formulate their trading strategies.

The value of the implied yield is equal to the "fixed income APY."

#### **Fixed ROI**

Fixed ROI is the guaranteed return on investment for holding PT until maturity. This value corresponds to the actual investment return associated with the "implied APY."

#### **Long Yield ROI**

Also known as "yield long ROI" or "yield bull ROI," it is the estimated return based on purchasing YT at the current price, assuming the underlying APY remains constant.

This value can be negative "-" indicating that the total future yield value calculated based on the current underlying APY is less than the current cost of purchasing YT.

# Yield Tokenization

# SY

SY is a token standard for wrapping yield-bearing tokens, implementing a standardized smart contract API. All yield-bearing tokens can be wrapped into SY, providing them with a common standardized interface. SY on Zenlink Eden is compatible with all yield-bearing tokens in the Polkadot DeFi ecosystem, creating a permissionless ecosystem.

> For example, vDOT, vGLMR, and stDOT can be wrapped into SY-vDOT, SY-vGLMR, and SY-stDOT, standardizing their yield generation mechanisms for Zenlink Eden system support.

Since all SY tokens share the same mechanism, Zenlink Eden uses SY as the main interface for interacting with all yield-bearing tokens. PT and YT are minted by splitting SY, and Zenlink AMM pools allow trading between PT and SY.

Although it may sound complex, Zenlink Eden can automatically convert yield-bearing tokens into SY and vice versa. This process happens automatically in the background, providing users with an experience akin to directly interacting with yield-bearing tokens without manually handling the SY <> yield-bearing token conversion.

Learn more about SY and EIP-5115 [here](https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-5115/).

### SY (Un)wrap Function

The SY (Un)wrap function can be found in "Swap," allowing users to convert SY tokens back to their underlying yield-bearing tokens and vice versa.

<figure><img src="/files/hXNFzNEPsCsGy2bIuGUq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The SY (Un)wrap function follows these simple steps:

**Step 1:** Select whether to convert an SY token back to its underlying yield-bearing asset (Unwrap) or to wrap a yield-bearing asset into an SY token (Wrap).

**Step 2:** Enter the amount.

**Step 3:** Check the exchange rate and output.

**Step 4:** Confirm and approve the transaction.

{% hint style="info" %}
Generally, users do not need to use the wrap function manually. All operations that involve wrapping yield-bearing tokens into SY are executed automatically by the protocol, requiring no manual intervention.

However, since the interest accrued by YT from the underlying yield-bearing assets is distributed through SY tokens, users will need to use the "Unwrap" function to convert SY back into yield-bearing assets or perform other operations like providing liquidity after claiming YT interest.
{% endhint %}

# Mint

When users deposit funds into yield sources, they receive yield-bearing assets. For example, depositing DOT in Bifrost results in receiving vDOT, and staking DOT in StellaSwap results in receiving stDOT. vDOT and stDOT are examples of **yield-bearing assets**.

In Zenlink Eden, yield-bearing assets can be split into two parts: **Principal Tokens (PT)** and **Yield Tokens (YT)**. PT represents the principal portion of the underlying yield-bearing token, while YT represents the rights to all interest yield from that asset. Both YT and PT can be traded on Zenlink Eden, supported by Zenlink AMM.

<figure><img src="/files/V5U5cUQf6QxLwQnYB6YP" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

What Zenlink Eden does is akin to bond stripping in traditional finance - separating the principal and interest of a bond. PT is comparable to [zero-coupon bonds](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/z/zero-couponbond.asp/), while YT is the separated [coupon](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/coupon.asp).

Users can deposit yield-bearing assets (e.g., vDOT) into Zenlink Eden to mint PT and YT. The base assets (e.g., DOT) are deposited into protocols like Bifrost to obtain yield-bearing assets (e.g., vDOT) before minting PT and YT.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Since Zenlink Eden is only available on Moonbeam, users will need to transfer their yield-bearing assets (e.g., vDOT) cross-chain to the Moonbeam network. This cross-chain transfer is supported by Polkadot XCM. You can refer to the following links for the transfer:

* Bifrost: <https://app.bifrost.io/crosschain>
* Moonbeam: <https://apps.moonbeam.network/moonbeam/xcm>
  {% endhint %}

The conversion process of minting PT and YT from underlying yield-bearing assets is as follows:

For example, DOT → vDOT (by depositing DOT into Bifrost) → SY-vDOT (automatically converted within Zenlink Eden) → (PT-vDOT + YT-vDOT).

# PT

**Principal Tokens (PT)** represent the principal portion of yield-bearing assets. At maturity, PT can be redeemed at a 1:1 ratio for the underlying asset. These are the principal assets deployed in the underlying protocol, such as Polkadot's DOT or Moonbeam's GLMR.

The process of converting matured PT into the underlying asset involves two steps (using PT-vDOT as an example):

* Step 1: At maturity, 1 PT-vDOT can be converted into vDOT worth 1 DOT (the amount of vDOT convertible may be less than 1, depending on the yield-bearing asset's mechanism).
* Step 2: Directly swap vDOT for DOT on Zenlink Eden (Zenlink Mega Aggregator will calculate the best trading route and execute the swap for you).

Since the total value of its yield component is separated, PT can be acquired at a discount relative to its underlying asset. Assuming no swaps occur, the value of PT will gradually approach and eventually match the value of the accounting asset at maturity when the redemption feature is enabled.

This appreciation forms the basis for its fixed RIO.

### Redemption Value

Generally, yield-bearing assets can be categorized into:

1. Rebasing assets - Tokens that increase in quantity over time

*Examples: stETH, stDOT*

2. Reward-bearing assets - Tokens that appreciate over time

*Examples: vDOT, wstETH*

For yield-bearing assets, it is important to note that PT can be redeemed at a 1:1 ratio for the underlying asset, *not the yield-bearing asset.* For example, the value of Bifrost's vDOT appreciates relative to DOT over time as staking rewards accumulate. Holding 1 PT-vDOT will allow you to redeem vDOT worth 1 DOT at maturity, *not 1 vDOT, which has a higher value.*

### How to Redeem PT

To redeem your PT at maturity:

1. Visit <https://app.zenlink.pro/market>
2. Select a market and choose the Swap function
3. Choose an output asset, and Zenlink Eden will automatically execute the redemption for you

# YT

Yield Tokens (YT) represent the yield portion of yield-bearing assets. By holding YT, the yield from the underlying asset flows to the user until maturity. This yield generation rate is represented as "Underlying APY" in the Zenlink Eden application.

For example, if you purchase 10 YT-vDOT and hold them for 5 days, you will receive all the equivalent yield of depositing 10 DOT on Bifrost over the same period.

The value of YT tends towards $0 as it approaches maturity (all else being equal) and becomes $0 at maturity. Users profit when the total yield collected thus far exceeds the cost of acquiring YT.

You can think of the Underlying APY as the "rate" at which the market prices YT. If the average underlying APY ends up being higher than the "rate" or implied APY you paid, you will profit. Thus, purchasing YT can be seen as taking a "long position" on asset yields.

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: YT yields are distributed in the form of SY and can be unwrapped back into the underlying yield-bearing assets using the SY (Un)wrap function.
{% endhint %}

### Claiming YT Yield

You can claim any earned YT (and LP) yields and rewards from Zenlink Eden at any time before maturity. Since YT is worth $0 at maturity, there is no need for further action other than claiming the yield.

# Tokenomics, veZLK, Fees

# Tokenomics

You can view the [Zenlink Tokenomics](https://wiki.zenlink.pro/resources/tokenomics) here.

The release of Zenlink Eden will not affect the existing Zenlink Tokenomics. ZLK used to incentivize LPs will be allocated from the "Community" portion.

It is important to note that the release of Zenlink Eden introduces the veZLK governance model. By implementing veZLK governance, it is expected that more ZLK tokens will be locked, thereby reducing the circulating supply of ZLK tokens in the market.

# veZLK

### veZLK

The governance of Zenlink relies on locked voting ZLK, also known as veZLK, which enables a higher degree of decentralization. By utilizing veZLK, ZLK holders can access a range of features that enhance the utility of their tokens.

One of the key functions of veZLK is to reduce the circulating supply of ZLK tokens, thereby increasing token stability and the overall resilience of the protocol. This makes veZLK a crucial tool for maintaining the long-term health and success of the Zenlink ecosystem.

Holding veZLK and participating in vote-driven incentives entitles you to the following benefits:

1. Vote to channel $ZLK incentives into a pool
2. Earn voter's APY (40% of trading fees from the pools you voted for).
3. Boost LP rewards (up to 250%).

### Getting veZLK

Lock ZLK to receive veZLK. The value of your veZLK is proportional to the amount staked and the duration of the stake (up to 2 years). A [tutorial](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/vezlk-lock-and-vote) is available here. Each wallet is associated with a single veZLK expiration date.

The value of your veZLK decreases over time and drops to zero once the lock period ends, after which your staked ZLK will be unlocked.

To increase the value of your veZLK, you can choose to extend the lock period or increase the amount locked.

### Incentive Channeling

veZLK powers the incentive channeling mechanism on Zenlink Eden. veZLK holders vote and direct the rewards flow to different pools, effectively incentivizing liquidity in the pools they voted for.

Intuitively, the higher the value of your veZLK, the more incentives you are entitled to channel.

A snapshot of all votes is taken at the start of every epoch on Thursday, 00:00 UTC and the incentive rates for each pool will be adjusted accordingly.

Voting for a pool also entitles vePENDLE holders to 40% of the swap fees collected by the pool, distributed pro rata between all voters of the pool.

### LP Reward Boost

If you hold veZLK and provide liquidity in a pool, all ZLK incentives and rewards for your LPs will be further boosted, up to 250%, depending on your veZLK value. To achieve the maximum boost, you must hold a proportion of veZLK equivalent to your percentage of LP holdings in the pool.

Although your veZLK value will decrease over time, your LP boost rate is calculated at the time of the initial boost application. The boost rate will remain constant until you update your LP position, at which point the boost rate will adjust according to your current veZLK value.

To receive boosted rewards, you should first lock your ZLK into veZLK before providing LP. If you have already provided LP and want to use veZLK to boost your rewards, you must manually trigger the boost after voting for the pool.

# Fees

The Zenlink Eden protocol has two revenue sources:

* **YT Fees**

Zenlink Eden charges a 3% fee on all yields earned from all existing YT.

* **Trading Fees**

Zenlink Eden charges a certain percentage of trading fees on the "implied yield" of all PT trades, determined by the pool deployer (currently, only the Zenlink team deploys pools on Zenlink Eden).

Essentially, Zenlink Eden taxes the yield of PT when a trade occurs. This method provides fair fees for all pools and maturities, as it scales with the pool's maturity (shorter maturity -> lower yield -> lower fees in USD terms). Since YT trades are also routed through the PT AMM, their fees are based on the traded PT.

* **Fee Distribution**

Zenlink Eden allocates 40% of the protocol revenue from trading fees of the corresponding pool to veZLK voters (e.g., veZLK holders who voted for the vDOT pool will receive 40% of the protocol revenue from vDOT trading fees).

The remaining 60% of the protocol revenue from trading fees is distributed as follows:

* LP Share: 20%
* Zenlink Treasury Share: 40%

In summary, the Zenlink Eden protocol currently divides all protocol revenue into three parts, with 20% allocated to LPs, 40% to veZLK voters, and 40% to the Zenlink Treasury. In the future, the 40% protocol revenue currently allocated to the Zenlink Treasury may be fully distributed to veZLK voters.

# Yield Strategies

## Earning Fixed Yield / Taking a Short Position on Yield (Buying PT)

Zenlink Eden enables you to earn fixed yield on various assets. This fixed yield can be redeemed at maturity. Note that your position is not locked; you can exit at any time before maturity, but the yield is not guaranteed if you choose to exit early and will fluctuate based on market sentiment.

Fixed yield positions on Zenlink Eden are PT (Fixed Yield) positions. Therefore, buying PT is equivalent to seeking fixed yield (or hedging against asset yield if you believe yields will decrease). Since you are guaranteed to receive the underlying asset at maturity, buying PT effectively locks in your APY at the current implied yield. Another way to view this is that you are fixing your yield at the current implied yield.

For example, if you buy a 1-year PT-vDOT at a 5% implied yield, each DOT spent on PT will yield 1.05 DOT at maturity and redemption.

Exiting your fixed yield position on Zenlink Eden before maturity involves selling PT on Zenlink AMM. While PT prices should generally rise over time, this is not guaranteed, so exiting before maturity does not ensure fixed yield.

Entering/exiting fixed yield positions is equivalent to buying/selling PT on Zenlink AMM, and trades will have price impacts affecting the received fixed yield amount. Larger trades will have larger price impacts, and the displayed fixed yield will change based on the input amount.

In summary, earning fixed yield is equivalent to buying PT. Whether holding PT until maturity or exiting early, the primary function used is the Swap function on Zenlink Eden.

### Guide

1. Visit <https://app.zenlink.pro/market>
2. Select your desired asset
3. Switch to the Swap-PT interface (after selecting an asset, you will default to this interface, no need to switch or take extra steps)
4. Select the asset you want to exchange for PT and enter the amount
5. Submit the transaction

Once the transaction is successful, you will receive the desired amount of PT, which you can hold until maturity to redeem at a 1:1 ratio for the underlying asset (e.g., 1 PT-vDOT = 1 DOT at maturity) or exit early by selling PT. For detailed instructions, refer to the [App Guide](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/swap).

## Taking a Long Position on Yield (Buying YT)

In contrast to earning fixed yield/taking a bearish position on yield, if you believe that asset yields will rise, you may want to go long and bet on yields. This can be achieved by buying YT, where you only pay for the yield portion, increasing your exposure to asset yields. Your return will depend on the fluctuation of the Underlying APY.

Additionally, buying YT is more capital efficient than buying the underlying asset, meaning you can buy more YT with the same capital, thereby compounding your exposure to yield.

For example, if YT costs 5% of the underlying asset's price, any increase in the underlying yield will result in a 20x return (since you can buy 20 times more YT units with the same capital).

After buying YT, you will continuously accumulate the yield generated by the asset until you sell your position or reach maturity. At maturity, YT is worth $0 as it no longer generates yield.

In summary, taking a bullish position on yield is equivalent to buying YT. Whether accumulating yield until maturity or exiting early, the primary function used is the Swap function on Zenlink Eden.

### Guide

1. Visit <https://app.zenlink.pro/market>
2. Select your desired asset
3. Switch to the Swap-YT interface
4. Select the asset you want to purchase YT with and enter the amount
5. Submit the transaction

Once the transaction is successful, you will receive the desired amount of YT, which you can hold to continuously accumulate yield until maturity or exit early by selling YT. For detailed instructions, refer to the [App Guide](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/swap).

## Providing Liquidity

You can earn yield by providing liquidity to Zenlink Eden, facilitating trading. Unlike "earning fixed yield," the yield from providing liquidity fluctuates based on the weekly allocation of ZLK to the pool and the total deposits in the pool. Note that your position is not locked, and you can withdraw at any time before maturity.

Providing liquidity on Zenlink Eden also involves minimal impermanent loss (IL). Based on our research, the highest IL observed on Zenlink Eden is 0.85%.

Liquidity Framing positions on Zenlink Eden are equivalent to LP positions. To provide liquidity and receive LP, use the Add function on Zenlink Eden. To exit LP positions, use the Remove function.

### Guide

1. Visit <https://app.zenlink.pro/market>
2. Select the asset you want to provide liquidity for
3. Switch to the Add interface
4. Choose between Zap In or Manual mode (see "FAQ-Providing Liquidity" for the differences)
5. Select the asset you want to add to the liquidity pool and enter the amount (choose whether to use zero slippage mode; see "FAQ-Providing Liquidity" for details)
6. Submit the transaction

Once the transaction is successful, you will receive the corresponding LP position (and corresponding YT amount, depending on whether you used zero slippage mode in Zap In mode). For detailed instructions, refer to the [App Guide](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/liquidity-add-and-remove).

# Swap

Swap

Using the Zenlink Eden App involves the following main operations: Swap (PT, YT, (Un)warp), [Mint](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/mint) (Mint, Redeem), [Add](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/liquidity-add-and-remove), [Remove](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/liquidity-add-and-remove), [Lock](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/vezlk-lock-and-vote), [Vote](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/vezlk-lock-and-vote), [Boost Rewards](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/boost-and-claim), and [Claim Rewards](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/boost-and-claim). Detailed guides for all operations are provided below.

## Swap

### **Buy PT to Earn Fixed Yield**

1. Visit the Zenlink Eden Market: <https://app.zenlink.pro/market>

<figure><img src="/files/Td8rGmo9vlagMo11TEQZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Click on the PT box to select the asset you want.

<figure><img src="/files/CEGesHkx5uZ9jFSHbX7n" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Ensure you are on the “Swap-PT” tab, then select your input asset.

<figure><img src="/files/obe0MBQkuPLBWiSmnbqY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. Enter the amount. You can control the slippage tolerance by clicking the gear icon in the upper right corner (lower slippage might cause transaction failure for large trades).

<figure><img src="/files/d508zJFlEo5TQoXe9ZMN" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5. Confirm the information, click Swap, approve, and submit the transaction.

<figure><img src="/files/af94zpmhpEOmkBkYrC1A" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You have now successfully purchased PT and will earn fixed yield (redeemable 1:1 for the underlying asset at maturity, e.g., 1 PT-vDOT = 1 DOT at maturity). To sell PT, perform the reverse operation to swap PT for the underlying yield-bearing asset.

<figure><img src="/files/DsktnEx4jDU64uHcqMfK" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### **Buy YT to Enhance Your Yield Exposure**

1. Visit the Zenlink Eden Market: <https://app.zenlink.pro/market>

<figure><img src="/files/xcE1OQTElAJRPoDostjT" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Click on the YT box to select the asset you want.

<figure><img src="/files/Syg81qHWxAexIAt9xd7J" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Ensure you are on the “Swap-YT” tab, then select your input asset.

<figure><img src="/files/DHn7DSVLyO1YpjHyzwK1" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. Enter the amount. You can control the slippage tolerance by clicking the gear icon in the upper right corner (lower slippage might cause transaction failure for large trades).

<figure><img src="/files/6oMj0ckyXcDvrDb6Isbv" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5. Confirm the information, click Swap, approve, and submit the transaction.

<figure><img src="/files/OgzhnhMoTeeFey9JKXSX" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You have now successfully purchased YT, establishing a long position on yield. You will continuously accumulate yield until maturity, which you can redeem by clicking "Redeem All" under the My Rewards tab.

{% hint style="info" %}
Note: The yield accumulated from holding YT will be distributed in the form of SY. After claiming the yield, you will need to use the (Un)warp function to unwrap it into the underlying yield-bearing asset, e.g., SY-vDOT → vDOT. Refer to the next section for the operation guide.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/i6HUqzKLw8LTLidKwrQB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To sell YT, perform the reverse operation to swap YT for the underlying yield-bearing asset.

<figure><img src="/files/sgyM7F7VHgwF9RfWxU6Z" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Wrap/Unwrap Assets - (Un)wrap

#### Wrap

{% hint style="info" %}
Generally, users do not need to use the (Un)wrap function manually. All operations that involve wrapping yield-bearing tokens into SY are automatically executed by the protocol during the Swap process, requiring no manual intervention.&#x20;
{% endhint %}

To wrap assets, switch to the Swap-(Un)wrap tab, select the asset you want to wrap into SY, and enter the amount. Verify the information, click “Wrap,” approve, and submit the transaction.

<figure><img src="/files/KGQb5reKDWN0QHVZMlNO" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Unwrap

Since the interest accrued by YT from the underlying yield-bearing assets is distributed through SY tokens, users will need to use the “Unwrap” function to convert SY back into yield-bearing assets after claiming YT interest or to perform other operations like providing liquidity.

To unwrap assets, switch to the Swap-(Un)warp tab, select the SY asset you want to unwrap into the underlying yield-bearing asset, and enter the amount. Verify the information, click “Unwrap,” approve, and submit the transaction.

<figure><img src="/files/YADLApMocUtd6tTi5pnG" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Mint

### Mint

Minting is the process of splitting underlying yield-bearing assets into PT + YT. Using vDOT as an example, the split pathway is vDOT → SY-vDOT → PT-vDOT + YT-vDOT.

Follow these steps to mint:

1. Visit Zenlink Eden Market: <https://app.zenlink.pro/market>
2. Select your desired asset type and maturity date

<figure><img src="/files/ouK34H3MCvyKDMmNsnWJ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Switch to the Mint tab

<figure><img src="/files/qyzR56pgUa6hpFrfqfDM" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. Select the asset you want to split (mint) into PT + YT and enter the amount

<figure><img src="/files/HAxE3tOQnRtWatt0e9r6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5. Confirm the information, click "Mint," approve the transaction, and complete the minting process!

<figure><img src="/files/6faoA2mvp2dkPC1G4ASq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Redeem

To redeem PT + YT back into the underlying yield-bearing asset, use the "Redeem" function and follow similar steps. Switch to the Redeem tab, select the PT and YT you want to redeem into the underlying yield-bearing asset, and enter the amount. Verify the information, click "Redeem," approve, and submit the transaction.

<figure><img src="/files/997we5T1SL6gGU3ZyP2J" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Liquidity (Add & Remove)

Zenlink Eden allows you to add liquidity (LP) to liquidity pools and earn yield. You can view the different pools' **maturity dates** and **total liquidity** on the <https://app.zenlink.pro/market> page.

Additionally, you can check the current **yield** for providing liquidity (Zenlink LP Yield APY) on the pool's details page. The Zenlink LP Yield APY will vary based on veZLK holders' votes for the pool. More veZLK votes directing incentives to the pool will increase its APY (as the pool will receive more ZLK incentives).

<figure><img src="/files/jnzb4FIXKtcZLXfALbQo" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Liquidity providers earn returns from multiple sources:

* Fixed yield from PT in the pool
* Protocol rewards from the underlying tokens
* Trading fees
* ZLK incentives

Below are detailed tutorials for adding/removing liquidity.

### Add

1. Visit Zenlink Eden Market: <https://app.zenlink.pro/market>

<figure><img src="/files/vAgxbrI8VvFutCx4YTWj" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Select the pool you want to add liquidity (LP) to.

<figure><img src="/files/DK5c60epO1UHtxzTo0kI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Switch to the Add tab. You can choose to use the Zap In mode (single asset input) or the Manual mode (yield-bearing asset + PT input) to add liquidity to the pool. Here, we use Zap In with "zero price impact" enabled as an example.

{% hint style="info" %}
**① Zero Price Impact Zap In**

On Zenlink Eden, users can activate the "**zero price impact**" mode, ensuring no price impact when providing liquidity to PT/SY pools. Typically, when adding liquidity, a portion of the underlying asset is used to buy PT from the PT/SY pool, and the remainder is wrapped as SY. However, buying PT might cause a price impact.

When "**zero price impact**" mode is enabled, the underlying asset is entirely wrapped as SY, a portion is used to mint PT and YT, and PT and the remaining SY are used to provide liquidity. The YT is returned to the user's wallet, eliminating the step of buying PT and avoiding potential price impacts.

**② Manual**

Manually provide equivalent value yield-bearing tokens (which the protocol will help convert to SY) and PT to the liquidity pool.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/N7LWzfg0imA9H7A6Goqp" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. Choose the asset to add to the liquidity pool via "Zap In" and enter the amount.

<figure><img src="/files/MHOvq5aTtQ0HHtwcfFyF" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5. Confirm the information, click the Add button, approve, and submit the transaction.

<figure><img src="/files/8xzvyDbnhTeLEaE8nVpZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You have successfully added liquidity (LP) and will receive some YT in your wallet (due to using zero price impact Zap In). You can view your LP position in the "My Position" tab at <https://app.zenlink.pro/market>.

<figure><img src="/files/oQiQ673WEtrePsBCjzVx" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Remove

Removing liquidity follows the opposite process of adding liquidity, offering Zap Out mode (removing LP and receiving yield-bearing assets) and Manual mode (removing LP and receiving yield-bearing assets + PT). You can choose the appropriate method based on your needs. Here, we use Zap Out as an example.

1. To remove LP, switch to the relevant liquidity pool page. You can manually select the pool you added LP to from the homepage and enter its details page, or select the related liquidity pool from the "My Position" tab on the homepage.

<figure><img src="/files/8NFAffLlHxd052D3FKLr" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Once on the details page, switch to the Remove tab and select Zap Out mode (default). Then, choose the LP to remove and enter the amount. Verify the information, click the Remove button, approve, and submit the transaction.

<figure><img src="/files/iqRnvqDoU7bG5nb9SXLc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# veZLK (Lock & Vote)

### Lock

Locking is mainly for converting ZLK into veZLK to participate in voting and boost rewards. You can also extend the lock duration. Follow these steps to lock ZLK into veZLK:&#x20;

1. Visit <https://app.zenlink.pro/gauge> and click the Lock button in the upper right corner.

<figure><img src="/files/88FRlEEEi837NYdr1jY4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Enter the amount of ZLK you want to lock and choose the lock duration.

<figure><img src="/files/N3lKioCa9fGhXKBIZtmz" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Verify the information, click "Approve ZLK," and sign in your wallet.

<figure><img src="/files/F33LqbYshelDbkMI3h8G" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

4. After approval, click the Confirm button again and sign in your wallet to confirm and submit your transaction.

<figure><img src="/files/Ee2IKwuhYTFmr62RmsPF" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You have successfully locked ZLK and will receive the corresponding amount of veZLK. The value of veZLK will decrease over time, dropping to zero once the lock period ends, at which point your staked ZLK will unlock. Only unlocked ZLK can be redeemed to your wallet using the Redeem function on the right. To increase your veZLK value, you can choose to extend the lock duration or increase the lock amount.

If the amount you locked meets the requirements for boosting rewards, you can proceed to add liquidity (automatically triggering reward boosts). If you added liquidity first and then locked ZLK to obtain veZLK, you will need to manually trigger the reward boost. [More details will be provided in the Boost Rewards section.](/zenlinkeden/user-guide/app-guide/boost-and-claim)

## Vote (Incentive Channeling)

After locking ZLK to obtain veZLK, you can use veZLK to vote for liquidity pools, directing protocol incentives to the desired pools, and thus participating in protocol governance. You can view and cast your veZLK votes from this page.

1. Visit <https://app.zenlink.pro/gauge> and click the Vote button.

<figure><img src="/files/zoEYcxVMu1huAS9GLj11" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Select the pool you want to vote for and enter the proportion of veZLK you want to vote with on the right side. (You can allocate any unused veZLK voting shares to any pool, and the top left corner will display your unused veZLK voting shares in real-time.)

<figure><img src="/files/va57x8toQ7HrEYg3oIJ6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Confirm the information, click the "Update" button, and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

<figure><img src="/files/VPhLBk5T3PIgXQGVyLeV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You have now completed the incentive direction voting for the liquidity pool. The more votes a pool receives, the more ZLK incentives it will obtain. You can return to this page at any time to use your unused veZLK voting shares to vote for the pools you want to direct incentives to.

# Boost & Claim

## Boost Rewards

If you have already locked veZLK before providing LP, your LP rewards will automatically get a boost.

On the add liquidity page, you can see the amount of ZLK you need to lock for different durations to achieve the maximum level (2.5x) LP reward boost.

<figure><img src="/files/Z3s20Z6hov9WeFWzXdgD" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you locked veZLK after providing LP, you need to manually trigger the reward boost by following these steps.

**Method 1: Trigger All Rewards Boost at Once (Boost All)**

Visit <https://app.zenlink.pro/market>, switch to the "My Position" tab, and click the "Boost All" button.

<figure><img src="/files/0JxUYhMDaTBJ6a6GrVRC" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**Method 2: Trigger Rewards for a Single Liquidity Pool**

Go to the details page of the liquidity pool where you have added LP, scroll to the "My Rewards" tab, and click the "Boost" button at the bottom.

<figure><img src="/files/u58TYOXrYPDCBvDecTUy" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Claim Rewards

In Zenlink Eden, you can claim three types of rewards (depending on your executed strategy):

* LP Rewards
* YT Interest and Rewards
* veZLK Voting Rewards

NOTHING HEREIN CONSTITUTES LEGAL, FINANCIAL, BUSINESS OR TAX ADVICE AND YOU SHOULD CONSULT YOUR OWN LEGAL, FINANCIAL, TAX OR OTHER PROFESSIONAL ADVISOR(S) BEFORE ENGAGING IN ANY ACTIVITY IN CONNECTION HEREWITH. NEITHER ZENLINK FOUNDATION LTD. (THE **COMPANY**), ANY OF THE PROJECT TEAM MEMBERS (THE **ZENLINK TEAM**) WHO HAVE WORKED ON ZENLINK (AS DEFINED HEREIN) OR PROJECT TO DEVELOP ZENLINK IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER, ANY DISTRIBUTOR/VENDOR OF ZLK TOKENS (THE **DISTRIBUTOR**), NOR ANY SERVICE PROVIDER SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY KIND OF DIRECT OR INDIRECT DAMAGE OR LOSS WHATSOEVER WHICH YOU MAY SUFFER IN CONNECTION WITH ACCESSING THIS LIGHTPAPER, THE WEBSITE AT <HTTPS://ZENLINK.PRO/> (THE **WEBSITE**) OR ANY OTHER WEBSITES OR MATERIALS PUBLISHED BY THE COMPANY.

**Project purpose:** You agree that you are acquiring ZLK to participate in Zenlink and to obtain services on the ecosystem thereon. The Company, the Distributor and their respective affiliates would develop and contribute to the underlying source code for Zenlink. The Company is acting solely as an arms’ length third party in relation to the ZLK distribution, and not in the capacity as a financial advisor or fiduciary of any person with regard to the distribution of ZLK.

**Nature of the Lightpaper:** The Lightpaper and the Website are intended for general informational purposes only and do not constitute a prospectus, an offer document, an offer of securities, a solicitation for investment, or any offer to sell any product, item, or asset (whether digital or otherwise). There is no assurance as to the accuracy or completeness of such information and no representation, warranty or undertaking is or purported to be provided as to the accuracy or completeness of such information. Where the Lightpaper or the Website includes information that has been obtained from third party sources, the Company, the Distributor, their respective affiliates and/or the Zenlink team have not independently verified the accuracy or completeness of such information. Further, you acknowledge that circumstances may change and that the Lightpaper or the Website may become outdated as a result; and neither the Company nor the Distributor is under any obligation to update or correct this document in connection therewith.

**Token Documentation:** Nothing in the Lightpaper or the Website constitutes any offer by the Company, the Distributor, or the Zenlink team to sell any ZLK (as defined herein) nor shall it or any part of it nor the fact of its presentation form the basis of, or be relied upon in connection with, any contract or investment decision. Nothing contained in the Lightpaper or the Website is or may be relied upon as a promise, representation or undertaking as to the future performance of Zenlink. The agreement between the Distributor (or any third party) and you, in relation to any distribution or transfer of ZLK, is to be governed only by the separate terms and conditions of such agreement.

The information set out in the Lightpaper and the Website is for community discussion only and is not legally binding. No person is bound to enter into any contract or binding legal commitment in relation to the acquisition of ZLK, and no digital asset or other form of payment is to be accepted on the basis of the Lightpaper or the Website. The agreement for distribution of ZLK and/or continued holding of ZLK shall be governed by a separate set of Terms and Conditions or Token Distribution Agreement (as the case may be) setting out the terms of such distribution and/or continued holding of ZLK (the Terms and Conditions), which shall be separately provided to you or made available on the Website. The Terms and Conditions must be read together with the Lightpaper. In the event of any inconsistencies between the Terms and Conditions and the Lightpaper or the Website, the Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

**Deemed Representations and Warranties:** By accessing the Lightpaper or the Website (or any part thereof), you shall be deemed to represent and warrant to the Company, the Distributor, their respective affiliates, and the Zenlink team as follows:

(a) in any decision to acquire any ZLK, you have shall not rely on any statement set out in the Lightpaper or the Website;

(b) you will and shall at your own expense ensure compliance with all laws, regulatory requirements and restrictions applicable to you (as the case may be);

(c) you acknowledge, understand and agree that ZLK may have no value, there is no guarantee or representation of value or liquidity for ZLK, and ZLK is not an investment product nor is it intended for any speculative investment whatsoever;

(d) none of the Company, the Distributor, their respective affiliates, and/or the Zenlink team members shall be responsible for or liable for the value of ZLK, the transferability and/or liquidity of ZLK and/or the availability of any market for ZLK through third parties or otherwise;&#x20;

(e) you acknowledge, understand and agree that you are not eligible to participate in the distribution of ZLK if you are a citizen, national, resident (tax or otherwise), domiciliary and/or green card holder of a geographic area or country (i) where it is likely that the distribution of ZLK would be construed as the sale of a security (howsoever named), financial service or investment product and/or (ii) where participation in token distributions is prohibited by applicable law, decree, regulation, treaty, or administrative act (including without limitation the United States of America, Canada, and the People's Republic of China); and to this effect you agree to provide all such identity verification document when requested in order for the relevant checks to be carried out.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company, the Distributor, their respective affiliates and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential or other losses of any kind, in tort, contract or otherwise (including, without limitation, any liability arising from default or negligence on the part of any of them, or any loss of revenue, income or profits, and loss of use or data) arising from the use of the Lightpaper or the Website, or any other materials published, or its contents (including without limitation any errors or omissions) or otherwise arising in connection with the same. Prospective acquirors of ZLK should carefully consider and evaluate all risks and uncertainties (including financial and legal risks and uncertainties) associated with the distribution of ZLK, the Company, the Distributor and the Zenlink team.

**ZLK Token:** ZLK are designed to be utilised, and that is the goal of the ZLK distribution. In fact, the project to develop Zenlink would fail if all ZLK holders simply held onto their ZLK and did nothing with it. In particular, it is highlighted that ZLK:

(a) does not have any tangible or physical manifestation, and does not have any intrinsic value (nor does any person make any representation or give any commitment as to its value);

(b) is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash (or its equivalent value in any other digital asset) or any payment obligation by the Company, the Distributor or any of their respective affiliates;

(c) does not represent or confer on the token holder any right of any form with respect to the Company, the Distributor (or any of their respective affiliates), or its revenues or assets, including without limitation any right to receive future dividends, revenue, shares, ownership right or stake, share or security, any voting, distribution, redemption, liquidation, proprietary (including all forms of intellectual property or licence rights), right to receive accounts, financial statements or other financial data, the right to requisition or participate in shareholder meetings, the right to nominate a director, or other financial or legal rights or equivalent rights, or intellectual property rights or any other form of participation in or relating to Zenlink, the Company, the Distributor and/or their service providers;

(d) is not intended to represent any rights under a contract for differences or under any other contract the purpose or pretended purpose of which is to secure a profit or avoid a loss;

(e) is not intended to be a representation of money (including electronic money), security, commodity, bond, debt instrument, unit in a collective investment scheme or any other kind of financial instrument or investment;

(f) is not a loan to the Company, the Distributor or any of their respective affiliates, is not intended to represent a debt owed by the Company, the Distributor or any of their respective affiliates, and there is no expectation of profit; and

(g) does not provide the token holder with any ownership or other interest in the Company, the Distributor or any of their respective affiliates.

Notwithstanding the ZLK distribution, users have no economic or legal right over or beneficial interest in the assets of the Company, the Distributor, or any of their affiliates after the token distribution.

To the extent a secondary market or exchange for trading ZLK does develop, it would be run and operated wholly independently of the Company, the Distributor, the distribution of ZLK and Zenlink. Neither the Company nor the Distributor will create such secondary markets nor will either entity act as an exchange for ZLK.

**Informational purposes only:** The information set out herein is only conceptual, and describes the future development goals for Zenlink to be developed. In particular, the project roadmap in the Lightpaper is being shared in order to outline some of the plans of the Zenlink team, and is provided solely for **INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES** and does not constitute any binding commitment. Please do not rely on this information in deciding whether to participate in the token distribution because ultimately, the development, release, and timing of any products, features or functionality remains at the sole discretion of the Company, the Distributor or their respective affiliates, and is subject to change. Further, the Lightpaper or the Website may be amended or replaced from time to time. There are no obligations to update the Lightpaper or the Website, or to provide recipients with access to any information beyond what is provided herein.

## Zenlink Overview

Zenlink is an underlying cross-chain DEX protocol based on Polkadot and is committed to becoming the DEX composable hub of Polkadot. By accessing the ultimate, open, and universal cross-chain DEX protocol based on Substrate, Zenlink DEX Protocol enables all parachains to build DEX and achieve liquidity sharing in one click. Zenlink DEX Protocol includes Module, WASM, and EVM implementations, which are flexible and adaptable, allowing for customizable compositions and interoperability with different DeFi modules.&#x20;

In addition, the Zenlink DEX Aggregator connects all DEX DApps on Polkadot and aggregates liquidity, providing a low slippage trading experience for users. Zenlink DEX Composable Hub enables developers to access the Zenlink DEX Module to build their own unique DEXs, forming a DEX composable hub for the Polkadot ecosystem.&#x20;

Zenlink DEX Network architecture can be described as follows.

![](/files/-MkLTmawltPVvg3-Yf4n)

**Zenlink DEX Protocol** is an underlying cross-chain DEX protocol based on Substrate, which includes Module, WASM, and EVM implementations.&#x20;

**Zenlink DEX Module** is a module that can be inserted into parachain code through Pallet. The module will be integrated into parachains, so that they can directly have the basic functions of DEX without repeated development, such as Swap, creating transaction pairs, adding/removing liquidity, etc.; at the same time, it can also share liquidity with all parachains integrated with Zenlink DEX Module.&#x20;

**Zenlink DEX WASM** refers to the version of the WASM contract written with ink! Pallet. The advantage of this implementation is that the smart contract can be compiled and deployed to the parachain ink! module, instead of modifying the source code of the parachain. WASM is the native contract implementation in the Polkadot network and is the primary contract deployment method of the future, and the Zenlink DEX WASM version has the ability to be deployed to the WASM contract parachain for the first time.&#x20;

**Zenlink DEX EVM** is a contractual deployment mode to achieve compatibility with the Ethereum virtual machine (EVM), and it is also a transition scheme adopted by the Polkadot network in the initial stage. The Zenlink DEX EVM version implements all the functions of the protocol layer, complements the perfect testing process, and can be deployed to the EVM contract parachain for the first time, which greatly expands the applicability of the platform.&#x20;

**Zenlink DApp** is a front-end interactive product based on Zenlink DEX Protocol to facilitate users to use cross-chain DEX without awareness.&#x20;

**Zenlink Network Token (ZLK)** is the native token of the Zenlink network, serving the participants of the entire Zenlink DEX network. It provides a fair and transparent governance mechanism and significant utility within the ecosystem, and is used to motivate eco-users to participate in the network development in the long term.

## Zenlink Network Ecosystem

Zenlink network ecosystem participants consist of the following categories.&#x20;

* **Liquidity providers**: provides liquidity for trading pairs on the Zenlink DEX network.&#x20;
* **Traders**: users who make trades on Zenlink DEX.&#x20;
* **Governance users**: users who obtain ZLK and participate in network governance in a variety of ways.&#x20;
* **Developers**: developers involved in the Zenlink network.&#x20;
* **Parachains**: parachains integrating Zenlink DEX Module&#x20;

Zenlink is committed to providing valuable protocols, products, and services, and the development of its ecosystem depends on the joint efforts of the above participants. At the same time, Zenlink will continue to invest the value created by the network into ecosystem construction, encourage more contributors to participate in network construction, promote optimization and upgrading at all levels of the network, and then create greater value, making the whole network enter the development track of positive feedback. And ZLK is the most important medium to promote the whole eco-economic cycle.

## Token Utility

The native cryptographically-secured fungible protocol token of Zenlink (ticker symbol **ZLK**) is a transferable representation of attributed governance and utility functions specified in the protocol/code of Zenlink, and which is designed to be used solely as an interoperable utility token thereon.

ZLK provides the economic incentives which will be distributed to encourage users to exert efforts towards contribution and participation in the ecosystem on Zenlink, thereby creating a mutually beneficial system where every participant is fairly compensated for its efforts. ZLK is an integral and indispensable part of Zenlink, because without ZLK, there would be no incentive for users to expend resources to participate in activities or provide services for the benefit of the entire ecosystem on Zenlink. Given that additional ZLK will be awarded to a user based only on its actual usage, activity and efforts made on Zenlink and/or proportionate to the frequency and volume of transactions, users of Zenlink and/or holders of ZLK which did not actively participate will not receive any ZLK incentives.

ZLK does not in any way represent any shareholding, participation, right, title, or interest in the Company, the Distributor, their respective affiliates, or any other company, enterprise or undertaking, nor will ZLK entitle token holders to any promise of fees, dividends, revenue, profits or investment returns, and are not intended to constitute securities in Singapore or any relevant jurisdiction. ZLK may only be utilised on Zenlink, and ownership of ZLK carries no rights, express or implied, other than the right to use ZLK as a means to enable usage of and interaction within Zenlink.

ZLK is a utility token with multiple practical utility values, including:

**1. Trading mining weight value bonus**

ZLK functions as a loyalty membership point which embeds a licence granting active participants exclusive access to selected products or services, so users will be classified into different loyalty tiers based on the amount of ZLK held, user activity and volume of transactions, with each variable weighted based on the "tradingContributionValue" formula. The premium membership tiers would allow users to get greater access to the network features and more preferential terms. The calculation formula for trading mining is as follows:

$$
tradingContributionValue=d×r×tradingVolume^{0.8}
$$

$$
reward=m×(\frac{tradingContributionValue}{totalTradingContributionValue})
$$

***d\_*** weight value of the ZLK holdings, see the table below for details

***r\_*** trading pair weight value, see the table below for details

***m\_*** indicates the total incentives in the period

***tradingVolume\_*** indicates the amount of a single trade, denominated in stablecoins

{% hint style="info" %}
{% endhint %}

**2. Active User Incentives**

Users may receive ZLK rewards by actively participating in activities on Zenlink, for example utilising the platform, providing liquidity, or participating in governance.

**3. Governance**

To promote decentralized community governance for the network, ZLK would allow holders to initiate and vote on ZIP (Zenlink Improve Proposal) to determine future features and/or parameters of Zenlink, with voting weight calculated in proportion to the tokens staked (the right to vote is restricted solely to voting on features of Zenlink; it does not entitle ZLK holders to vote on the operation and management of the Company, its affiliates, or their assets or the disposition of such assets to token holders, or select the board of directors of these entities, or determine the development direction of these entities, does not constitute any equity interest in any of these entities or any collective investment scheme; the arrangement is not intended to be any form of joint venture or partnership). For example, ZLK holders may vote on suggestions for the improvement of Zenlink products, allocatn of the treasury to development or community building efforts.

## Economic Mechanism

In order to promote network growth and ensure a healthy cycle of the entire ecosystem, Zenlink designed the following economic mechanisms for ZLK:&#x20;

### Liquidity Mining

Zenlink is currently a DEX based on AMM (automatic market maker) model. It is crucial for DEXs to have a broad and deep liquidity pool in order to create markets for users to trade their tokens, so Zenlink has established a liquidity incentive program. Token holders can obtain the LP Token of the corresponding trading pair by providing liquidity to the Zenlink DEX network. The LP Token represents the voucher to add and remove liquidity, and liquidity incentives can be obtained by staking LP Token with Zenlink to record their contribution to the liquidity pool, and accordingly the liquidity provider will be entitled to receive ZLK rewards. The liquidity mining reward shall be distributed periodically, as detailed in the announcement or program of liquidity mining launched in the future.&#x20;

It is important to reiterate that a liquidity pool simply comprises a set of autonomous smart contracts deployed on the relevant blockchain network, operated directly by users calling functions on it (which allows them to interact with other users and/or pool their own selected assets in a peer-to-peer manner). There is no further control by or interaction with the original entity which had deployed the smart contract (which entity solely functions as a provider of technical tools for users, and is not offering any sort of securities product or regulated service).

### Trading Mining

Users who trade with DEX can also get ZLK token incentives proportionate to their activity. Considering the fairness of participating users, there will be a balance between users with different trading volumes in the design of the mechanism. The incentive for transaction mining comes from two parts: 10% of the transaction fee income (rebate) and 15% of the initial ZLK allocation. The reward is distributed according to the proportion of the contribution value of the transaction volume in a certain period, calculation formula reference **\[Token Utility-Trading mining weight value bonus]**.

### Transaction Fee Fund Pool

The transaction fee will be managed in a dedicated fund pool. At present, the maximum transaction fee is 0.3% of the amount of each transaction, and depending on the actual situation, the transaction fee charged on different parachains may be in different tokens, so there are theoretically multiple tokens in the transaction fee fund pool. The main uses of transaction fees include:&#x20;

* ZLK liquidity provider share: 50%&#x20;
* Active user incentives: 30%&#x20;
* Traders share: 10%
* Reservation share: 10%

![](/files/W1ZDDwFRPp3vZXkbOwXQ)

### Community Incentives Pool

Users may receive ZLK rewards by actively participating in activities on Zenlink, for example utilising the platform, providing liquidity, or participating in governance. 5% of the total supply of ZLK tokens is reserved to reward active community contributors and parachains that promote adoption by integrating Zenlink DEX Module.

### DAO Treasury

This part of the token is reserved for 5% of the total supply and is jointly managed by DAO members to support the development of the Zenlink network. Its expenditure purposes include, but are not limited to:&#x20;

* Zenlink marketing or community-building activities.&#x20;
* Rewards to DAO members based on the proof of workload.
* Developer Grant.

![](/files/MxCIQQBUyb4eMrVPydzS)

\*We will publish a separate document on the model design of Zenlink NFT

## ZLK Distribution

Zenlink will issue the same set of ZLK Token in Kusama Network and Polkadot Network with a maximum supply of 100 million. Due to the buyback mechanism, there will be a certain degree of deflation, and the actual maximum circulation will be less than 100 million. The token distribution ratio of the two networks is tentatively 40% of Kusama issuance and 60% of Polkadot issuance, following the same distribution rules (i.e. 40,000,000 ZLK issued on the Kusama network and 60,000,000 ZLK issued on the Polkadot network, which will follow a non-discriminatory release rule). The specific distribution is as follows:&#x20;

**Community: 50%, of which:**&#x20;

* Trading mining: 15%, non-linear unlocked
* Liquidity mining: 25%, non-linear unlocked
* DAO Treasury: 5%, used on demand for network construction expenses and is jointly controlled by the community and Zenlink team.&#x20;
* Community Incentives: 5%, which is used to reward ZLK active community contributors and parachains that integrate Zenlink DEX Module.

**Early investors: 26%, of which:**

* Seed round: 7%, linearly unlocked every 3 months, 1/8 unlocked each time
* Angel round: 11%, linearly unlocked every 2 months, 1/8 unlocked each time&#x20;
* Series A Round: 8%, linearly unlocked every month, 1/8 unlocked each time

**Team: 20%**, linearly unlocked every 3 months and released in 24 months (No unlocking for the first 2 months after launch).&#x20;

**Zenlink Foundation: 4%**, reserved and there is no plan to unlock for now.

## Risk Statement&#x20;

Zenlink is currently in the initial development stages and there are a variety of unforeseeable risks. You acknowledge and agree that there are numerous risks associated with acquiring ZLK, holding ZLK, and using ZLK for participation in Zenlink. In the worst scenario, this could lead to the loss of all or part of ZLK held. IF YOU DECIDE TO ACQUIRE ZLK OR PARTICIPATE IN ZENLINK, YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE, ACCEPT AND ASSUME THE FOLLOWING RISKS:

**Uncertain Regulations and Enforcement Actions:** The regulatory status of Zenlink, ZLK and distributed ledger technology is unclear or unsettled in many jurisdictions. The regulation of digital assets has become a primary target of regulation in all major countries in the world. It is impossible to predict how, when or whether regulatory agencies may apply existing regulations or create new regulations with respect to such technology and its applications, including ZLK and/or Zenlink. Regulatory actions could negatively impact ZLK and/or Zenlink in various ways. The Company, the Distributor (or their respective affiliates) may cease operations in a jurisdiction in the event that regulatory actions, or changes to law or regulation, make it illegal to operate in such jurisdiction, or commercially undesirable to obtain the necessary regulatory approval(s) to operate in such jurisdiction.

**Inadequate disclosure of information:** As at the date hereof, Zenlink is still under development and its design concepts, consensus mechanisms, algorithms, codes, and other technical details and parameters may be constantly and frequently updated and changed. Although this Lightpaper contains the most current information relating to Zenlink, it is not absolutely complete and may still be adjusted and updated by the Zenlink team from time to time. The Zenlink team has neither the ability nor obligation to keep holders of ZLK informed of every detail (including development progress and expected milestones) regarding the project to develop Zenlink, hence insufficient information disclosure is inevitable and reasonable.

**Competitors:** Various types of decentralised applications and networks are emerging at a rapid rate, and the industry is increasingly competitive. It is possible that alternative networks could be established that utilise the same or similar code and protocol underlying ZLK and/or Zenlink and attempt to re-create similar facilities. Zenlink may be required to compete with these alternative networks, which could negatively impact ZLK and/or Zenlink.

**Loss of Talent:** The development of Zenlink greatly depends on the continued co-operation of the existing technical team and expert consultants, who are highly knowledgeable and experienced in their respective sectors. The loss of any member may adversely affect Zenlink or its future development. Further, stability and cohesion within the team is critical to the overall development of Zenlink. There is the possibility that conflict within the team and/or departure of core personnel may occur, resulting in negative influence on the project in the future.

**Failure to develop:** There is the risk that the development of Zenlink will not be executed or implemented as planned, for a variety of reasons, including without limitation the event of a decline in the prices of any digital asset, virtual currency or ZLK, unforeseen technical difficulties, and shortage of development funds for activities.

**Security weaknesses:** Hackers or other malicious groups or organisations may attempt to interfere with ZLK and/or Zenlink in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, malware attacks, denial of service attacks, consensus-based attacks, Sybil attacks, smurfing and spoofing. Furthermore, there is a risk that a third party or a member of the Company, the Distributor or their respective affiliates may intentionally or unintentionally introduce weaknesses into the core infrastructure of ZLK and/or Zenlink, which could negatively affect ZLK and/or Zenlink. Further, the future of cryptography and security innovations are highly unpredictable and advances in cryptography, or technical advances (including without limitation development of quantum computing), could present unknown risks to ZLK and/or Zenlink by rendering ineffective the cryptographic consensus mechanism that underpins that blockchain protocol.

**Other risks:** In addition, the potential risks briefly mentioned above are not exhaustive and there are other risks (as more particularly set out in the Terms and Conditions) associated with your participation in Zenlink, as well as acquisition of, holding and use of ZLK, including those that the Company or the Distributor cannot anticipate. Such risks may further materialise as unanticipated variations or combinations of the aforementioned risks. You should conduct full due diligence on the Company, the Distributor, their respective affiliates, and the Zenlink team, as well as understand the overall framework, mission and vision for Zenlink prior to participating in the same and/or acquiring ZLK.

# Glossary

**Relay chain**\
The chain that coordinates consensus and communication between parachains (and external chains, via bridges).\
via [Polkadot Wiki](https://wiki.polkadot.network/)

**Parachain**\
A blockchain that meets several characteristics that allow it work within the confines of the Polkadot Host. Also known as "parallelized chain."\
via [Polkadot Wiki](https://wiki.polkadot.network/)

**Cross-Chain and Cross-Chain Message Passing (XCMP)**\
Cross-chain describes the transfer of data, tokenized assets, or other types of information from one independent blockchain network to another. On the Polkadot network, XCMP is a specialized mechanism used to send information between different blockchains linked together on Polkadot’s interoperable network. The XCMP system relies on Polkadot’s collator nodes to route messages between blockchains.\
via [Gemini](https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/glossary)

**Web 3.0 (web3)**

The term Web 3.0 refers to a vision of the third generation of computing, which anticipates that technologies like blockchain will decentralize the internet and disintermediate web 2.0 companies like Facebook, Amazon, LinkedIn, and Apple to enable the online exchange of value, and allow users to own their data. Web 3.0 is designed to benefit all participants using a peer-to-peer (P2P) model for websites, applications, and the internet as a whole. It will focus in many ways, on producing a machine-readable data-driven semantic web. Many believe blockchain and crypto are central to the realization of the open, public, censorship-resistant, borderless, free internet: Web 3.0.\
via [Gemini](https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/glossary)

**Automated Market Maker (AMM)**\
An automated market maker (AMM) is a fully automated decentralized exchange where trades are made against a pool of tokens called a liquidity pool. An algorithm regulates the values and prices of the tokens in the liquidity pool. Since AMMs do not rely on an active market of buyers and sellers, trades can occur at any time. \
via [Gemini](https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/glossary)

**Constant Product Market Maker (CPMM)**\
CPMM is represented by a classic function: x\*y = c

where X and Y are reserves of a certain (chosen) asset in the pool, and C is an unchangeable constant. The function establishes the price of a chosen token, meaning if the supply of token X increases, the supply of token Y decreases in order to maintain the constant value C. \
via [Blaize](https://blaize.tech/article-type/amm-types-differentiations/)

**Decentralized Exchange (DEX)**\
A decentralized exchange (DEX) is a financial services platform for buying, trading, and selling digital assets. On a DEX, users transact directly and peer-to-peer on the blockchain without a centralized intermediary. DEXs do not serve as custodians of users' funds, and are often democratically managed with decentralized governance organization. Without a central authority charging fees for services, DEXs tend to be cheaper than their centralized counterparts.\
via [Gemini](https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/glossary)

**Impermanent Loss**\
Impermanent loss occurs when the value of tokens held in an algorithmically balanced liquidity pool lose value relative to assets in the open market due to price volatility. The loss is 'impermanent' because the original value of the tokens can be restored if the liquidity pool restores balance.\
via [Gemini](https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/glossary)

**Liquidity**\
In regards to an asset, liquidity refers to the ability to exchange an asset without substantially shifting its price in the process, and the ease with which an asset can be converted to cash. The easier it is to convert the asset to cash, the more liquid the asset. With regard to markets, liquidity refers to the amount of trading activity in a market. The higher the trading volume in the market, the more liquid the market. Liquid markets tend to increase the liquidity of assets.\
via [Gemini](https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/glossary)

**Liquidity Providers (LP)**\
A liquidity provider is a user who deposits tokens into a liquidity pool. In return for supplying liquidity, users are typically awarded liquidity provider (LP) tokens that represent the share of the liquidity pool the user owns.\
via [Gemini](https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/glossary)

**Slippage**\
Within a financial context, slippage refers to the difference between the expected price of a trade relative to the actual price at which the trade is executed. Slippage generally occurs when an investor buys or sells an asset on a platform with poor liquidity and low trading volume. If there is a large gap between the bid-ask price on an exchange's order book, the asset purchaser may end up paying more for an asset or receive less of the asset than expected once the trade has been executed.\
via [Gemini](https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/glossary)&#x20;

**Arbitrage**\
To arbitrage is to exploit the price difference of an asset or security between two markets for profit. For example, if one bitcoin is selling for $10 on exchange ABC and $12 on exchange XYZ, then an arbitrageur can generate a profit of $2 by purchasing one bitcoin from ABC and selling it at XYZ. Arbitraging can be automated by utilizing sophisticated computer systems and software to monitor prices and conduct high-volume trades that take advantage of even slight differences in prices. Arbitrage is a necessary financial mechanism that keeps prices consistent between different exchanges and wider markets.\
via [Gemini](https://www.gemini.com/cryptopedia/glossary)

**Ink**\
[ink!](https://github.com/paritytech/ink) is a domain specific language for writing smart contracts in Rust and compiles to Wasm code.\
via [Polkadot Wiki](https://wiki.polkadot.network/)

**Wasm**\
WebAssembly, shortened to simply *Wasm*, is a binary instruction format for a stack-based virtual machine. Wasm is designed as a portable target for compilation of high-level languages like C/C++/Rust, enabling deployment on the web for client and server applications.\
via [Polkadot Wiki](https://wiki.polkadot.network/)

**Pallet**\
A Substrate runtime module.\

# Zenlink Ambassador Program

![](/files/F6STGsaOIgHGODvC1Ni6)

Over the past year, Zenlink has been keeping a low profile and polishing our product, but as we have the support of well-known VCs such as Alameda Research and the main net going online, Zenlink has gradually attracted more and more people’s attention. We are therefore pleased to announce the launch of the Zenlink Global Ambassador Program, which is open to all community members of Polkadot, Ethereum, and other ecosystems who want to be part of the Zenlink Network.

Everyone can apply to join and participate deeply in Zenlink Network, and once you are selected as Zenlink Ambassador, you will have exclusive access to the core development team and will be invited to our private team discussion channel. So you will be able to communicate directly with the team and get updates on our roadmap and plans before others. In short, we are excited about the support from the community, and let’s learn more details together. (Application link at the end of the article)

## What can you get as a Zenlink ambassador? <a href="#bdab" id="bdab"></a>

Becoming a Zenlink ambassador will bring you some huge benefits. In addition to keeping in close touch with the team and getting the latest news before others, you will also get many other benefits.

* You will receive native tokens (ZLK) reward from Zenlink Network; the amount of ZLK reward is related to your participation and contribution as a Zenlink ambassador.
* For your wonderful activities, we will provide reward tokens according to the success of the activities.
* We would be happy to mail or send some Zenlink exclusive products to you.
* Exclusive Zenlink NFT (guardian version).
* Have a voice chat with the core team and other Zenlink ambassador communities, where we will discuss the future of Zenlink Network and listen to your feedback and suggestions.

## Who we are looking for? <a href="#cd4b" id="cd4b"></a>

The Zenlink Global Ambassador Program is open to everyone and anyone can apply, as long as you think you meet the following criteria:

* Be passionate and believe in Polkadot.
* Recognizes Zenlink and wants to participate in the ecological development of Zenlink.
* Interested in connecting with other people in the Polkadot community.
* Glad to be able to influence the development of Zenlink Network.

Of course, the priority will be given to you if you are one of the following talents we are looking for：

* **Community leaders:** have extensive educational experience in blockchain technology, DeFi, and decentralized products.
* **Avid Tweeters, Redditor, and other social media users:** help us communicate Zenlink Network’s value to the wider community.
* **Enthusiastic community members:** keen to follow DeFi’s cutting-edge trends and firmly believe in the future of cross-chain DEX and have a Web3.0 vision.
* **Testers and developers:** intend to improve the Zenlink Network user experience and help find errors as we develop.
* **Those who believe in the potential of Zenlink Network:** have a deep understanding of what Zenlink Network is doing and firmly believe that we will work together to build a new generation of DEX networks.

## How can you help us as a Zenlink ambassador? <a href="#bc72" id="bc72"></a>

As a Zenlink ambassador, the first thing you need to do is to be accountable to the community, so your first priority is to make sure that all of our news is disseminated as widely as possible. In addition, Zenlink Network is still in its early stage of development, so please help us to tell others as much as possible about Zenlink Network.

We have no specific rules of responsibility for Zenlink ambassadors, and we believe that our community is diverse and that different ambassadors can bring different skills and talents to help us develop our community. We look forward to talking to qualified candidates from different backgrounds

Zenlink ambassadors can help up in the following aspects:

### Content <a href="#id-059f" id="id-059f"></a>

* Translation of our content/blog articles/documents; add subtitles to our videos.
* Create use case guides and tutorials in different languages.
* Write blog posts and articles about Zenlink Network platforms, tools, and ecosystems.
* Create videos that showcase Zenlink Network platforms, tools, and values.
* Incorporate creativity into our design, including graphics, presentations, and memes

### Events and gatherings <a href="#f184" id="f184"></a>

* Organize, host, and lead local events for Zenlink Network.
* Organize monthly conference calls and other ad hoc meetings with the core team and your local community.

This is by no means an exclusive list of the responsibilities as a Zenlink Ambassador. If you have any special talents and other ideas, please describe them in your application!

### Application review

As mentioned earlier, Zenlink Network will be very picky about its ambassadors. We expect a lot of applications, so we can’t respond to everyone, but we will review the applications on a rolling basis.

We will be examining our first batch of Zenlink Ambassador candidates within the Zenlink Discord server. Then they will go through a two-week trial period, where they will be allowed to demonstrate their enthusiasm as Zenlink Ambassadors.

Once passed the two-week trial period, we will officially list them as Zenlink ambassadors, and begin to reward their activities in promoting and helping Zenlink Network development!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us on Discord. All applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. If you are selected, we will reach out to you!

Unfortunately, we may not have time to respond to every application. So we want to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your attention. We sincerely look forward to welcoming some excellent Zenlink ambassadors to join us to build Web3 together!

## How do I apply to join the Ambassador Program? <a href="#id-9569" id="id-9569"></a>

If you have read the above and still want to become a Zenlink Ambassador, you can apply by following the link: <https://forms.gle/DKELpkfvZrQNHH8k8> (It's now closed, but you can still join [Zenlink Discord](https://discord.gg/v32WcymvXn) and actively contribute, and the team will take notice of you!)

Once your application is approved, we will send an email inviting you to join a specific channel in the Zenlink Discord server and add a role for you. More details about how the ambassador program will follow will also be posted on that channel, so please feel free to apply actively.

## About Zenlink <a href="#id-5d9d" id="id-5d9d"></a>

Zenlink is an underlying cross-chain DEX protocol based on Polkadot and is committed to becoming the DEX composable hub of Polkadot. By accessing the ultimate, open, and universal cross-chain DEX protocol based on Substrate, Zenlink DEX Protocol enables all parachains to build DEX and achieve liquidity sharing in one click. Zenlink DEX Protocol includes Module, WASM, and EVM implementations, which are flexible and adaptable, allowing for customizable compositions and interoperability with different DeFi modules.

Currently, Zenlink has received 2 rounds of Web3 Foundation Grants and investments from several well-known institutions such as Alameda Research, Hashkey, IOSG, Continue, OKEx Blockdream Ventures, and Hypersphere.

# Zenlink Community NFT

We explore more use cases where NFT can be combined with community members.

![](/files/-Mf6sLLD4C5dNfgGAqDx)

NFT is an interesting topic, and Zenlink is committed to more meaningful exploration around NFT.

## What do we think about NFT?

* NFT will standardize data assets, including digital artwork, collectibles, virtual world assets, etc., and is also being explored for non-crypto-native real assets on the chain, which will make the digital economy more vibrant and full of life.
* NFT will be able to build new types of digital identities and reputations for users, enabling them to make more direct connections with other organizations or brands, and form new social networks and communities based on them.
* When NFT can better serve as an intermediary medium for brands to connect with communities, the combination of NFT and governance will become justified, and building new digital identities and reputations for users based on NFT will make the membership of DAOs more reasonable and community governance more efficient.
* With the gradual promotion and popularization of NFT, solving the liquidity of NFT will become the primary problem, and DEX will play an important role in the circulation of NFT.

## Zenlink Community NFT Overview

### Origin

Based on the above thinking, Zenlink plans to launch its NFT and explore its combination with the new community membership system.

For us, NFT is more an experience of the product than the product itself, and NFT identity and reputation connect people to each other to form membership, which in turn drives the community to create new experiences and products to strengthen user identity.

Specifically, Zenlink will issue a set of limited edition community NFTs with the community and economic attributes. We will cooperate with relevant platforms to complete the creation of our NFT.

### Supply

Total supply: 1000

* Guardian edition: 200
* Explorer edition: 800

### Issue

Zenlink limited edition community NFT will all be distributed to community members for free with two issuing ways: targeted issuance and non-targeted issuance, and 36% of the total supply will be issued in the Genesis stage.&#x20;

* Targeted issuance (Guardian edition) is mainly aimed at Zenlink community guardians and other community contributors (such as product testing feedback, quality proposal initiators, and other outstanding community contributors).
* Non-targeted issuance (Explorer edition) will be distributed in combination with Zenlink major milestones such as Zenlink beta version testing.

### Attributes and Interests <a href="#a408" id="a408"></a>

Zenlink will endow the limited edition community NFT with the community and economic attributes, so holders will be able to obtain certain rights and interests.

* **Economic attribute:** NFT is not issued for hype, but as it is limited, exquisitely designed, and has a strong binding relationship with the future development of Zenlink, the NFT will have the following economic attributes and rights, and interests.<br>
  * **Value-added attribute:** Zenlink will invite well-known artists to design our community NFT and carry out the issuance in a limited way. Holding the NFT card means that you have a limited edition of NFT art, which will have more room for appreciation as the project develops.
  * **Governance rights:** Zenlink plans to establish a DAO organization that will control a separate fund pool in the future. Zenlink limited edition community NFT holders will have higher priority to join this DAO organization; DAO members will have the right to initiate DAO fund pool allocation proposal.
  * **Airdrop rights:** users will have the opportunity to win NFT by participating in the testing of Zenlink DEX Beta version. NFT holders will have access to ZLK airdrop rights. Details will be announced soon, please stay tuned.
  * **Other rights:** Zenlink limited edition community NFT holders will also have access to Zenlink official peripheral products.<br>
* **Community Honor attribute:** NFT can create a new identity, reputation and it is a kind of self-expression for users. We compare it to Community Building Medal. Holding NFT means that the holder is recognized by the community as an outstanding community contributor and will enjoy higher rights in the Zenlink ecosystem.<br>
  * We plan to establish a Zenlink NFT community and invite NFT holders to join the Telegram/Discord private group. NFT holders will have different special identities within this group. Zenlink will initiate meetings in this group from time to time to discuss topics such as project development, community building, NFT integration and so on. NFT holders will get the latest developments and news about the project.

### Issue Progress

Now, Explorer edition NFT has finished sending two batches, for more details:

**1st batch (97)**: since 3 of the Top100 in Zenlink's 1st public test did not complete signature verification, only 97 people met the criteria.

**2nd batch (80+24)**: in the second NFT supplemental issue, only 24 of the 40 NFTs were drawn due to low participation.

# DAO Governance

We embrace decentralization and DAO governance.

![](/files/-Mf695tj5W8F21eGVfgd)

With the continuous development of the project, Zenlink will usher in the token listing, mainnet launch and other important milestones, so the team decided to take the lead in starting the bootstrapping governance of ZenlinkDAO.

The ZenlinkDAO Governance Committee will have a number of initial governance member seats, one of which will be held by the Zenlink Foundation. The Zenlink Foundation will select the initial holders of the remaining seats and will seek diversified representatives, including key community members, strategic partners and investors committed to building Zenlink. In the future, the committee will guide ZenlinkDAO to gradually turn into a completely decentralized organization.

At the same time, we also welcome all projects, crypto communities, KOL, media and institutions that are willing to contribute to the construction of Zenlink to join ZenlinkDAO, to build a better Web3.0 world together.

## What will ZenlinkDAO governance members get in return?

ZenlinkDAO governance members will have the following benefits:

* Get one limited edition ZenlinkNFT (Guardian Edition) with multiple benefits, click [here](https://medium.com/zenlinkpro/an-exploration-on-nft-and-new-community-membership-management-2c0b3472c52c) to see more details.
* Control the initial capital pool of ZenlinkDAO.
* Participate and play a decisive role in the decision-making of the future development direction of Zenlink.
* Get ZLK tokens in return.\
  ……

# Hiring

![Zenlink Community Creation](/files/SeAlbgDFXKBsOJ5IPtFh)

Zenlink has been aggressively shipping products for a long time, but community growth and marketing are also essential to the development of the project, and we still have a lot to live up to in that area, so we thought now would be a good time to seek like-minded people to join us and build web3 with us.
